Standard Servo
Hi. Can anyone tell me the strength of the standard throttle servo? It doesn't seem to open my carb completely with the failsafe spring attached.
I've got one of the first LST;s with the synth JR radio. What is a good replacement servo? Maybe a futaba S3001 S3003?
Thanks!

RE: Standard Servo
You can try to adjust your radio EPA settings but I would suspect that your throttle servo saver is the problem. Replace the whole setup with one from Dynamite or OFNA and you will be very glad you did.

Thanks! Now that you mention it the saver does look a bit loose. I'll my try my LHS. I see that some use digital servos? a bit overkill don't you think?

RE: Standard Servo
I had nothing but trouble with my throttle linkage until I got rid of the stock servo saver setup. I used the Dynamite kit and it work very well. I also moved the spring setup to attach to the screw for the fuel tank and that helped also.

RE: Standard Servo
I have a futaba 9451 it's rated at 120 oz/in,0.10sec/60 degrees. it's really over kill but it was spare so i thought why not. It's got some power so the brakes are amazing and I've got standard breaks.
The standard servo is rated at 40.3 oz/in, .25 sec/60° so it's a lot weaker but is none the less fine for the job and it's what my mate uses.
Check EPA on your radio and the throttle return spring it's quite strong You can remove it if you have a fail safe. I couldn't get full throttle with it on, the servo saver kept giving way.
