Carbon Fiber = Lighter Racer
This is the Holeshot Engineering CF main deck and top decks. It seems to be of good quality and I only had a minor fitment issue with two holes. Not really a big deal. Here are some pics of the teardown (did you know the whole F'ing truck has to come apart????) and the finished product. testing will begin on friday and run through sunday. Friday is Pre-Race testing day for me. Sat+Sun I'll run it through 4, 10min quals and 1, 30min Main.

Well, not only are you about 6 oz lighter, the truck looks damn cool to boot! Gotta love that carbon fiber diamond plate look! Let us know how you like it... this is a mod I have been considering, but I was worried about chassis flex.

I have had that set up for about 2 months now. I also made a foward only tranny. I race every weekend and the carbon fiber has NO signs of problems. You should be happy with it.

For those that are wondering the nitro fuel has little to no effect on the resin that is in the carbon fiber. If you soaked it in gallons for weeks on end maybe.but the occasional splash is nothing to worry about. Also, it flexes a lot LESS than the stock aluminum plate. CF is much more ridgid, lighter, and pound for pound stronger than aluminum.

Ahhh..5min quals. Bummer I was looking forward to a little longer racing. I'll sure try to make the A. Glad you got a new motor....I would hate to have to listen to that excuse.
