As 2d said you should definitely look at the hex pins, but I just ripped my lst2 all apart and the ball cups where the axel and the wheel hex meet didnt have any grease on them. I would suggest taking off the wheel hubs the then take off the c-hubs (where the a-arms connect to) and in the round cup where the dogbone and axel meet there is also a pin in there, thats also where a light coating of grease should be applied. I ran mine in the snow and some mud a few times, actually like twice they are were a little rusted. Also the set screw for my wheel hexxes wasnt loctited either, so you might want to do that also. heres some pics.

Grab your right rear wheel (Tail in the air) and turn it with the front wheels on the ground. Did the left one turn then? Try the opposite (Turn the left).
It is possible that for some reason the wheel that isn't turning could be binding (Dirt, something bent, rust, etc.).

With the front tires on the ground pick the truck up by the rear wheels, grasp each rear wheel in a hand and rotate them forward. Report your results. I'm gonna go do it to mine now.

Seriously, I was with a group tonight and one of the things we talked about was mud slides in the Northwest!!
Here it has been low humidity and 75 since a couple days before Christamas. We have not had rain in at least 3 or 4 months!!!
My house is splitting at he seams!!

Yea Us! I just love it when we are in the headlines. Like Tanya Harding! lol
No slides here, thank goodness. Sorry to hear about your house!
On subject: Sounds like you spun out a wheel hex, or, more likely broke an axle pin.
