Suna, i beleive respect is EARNED, you can only be given it if you have worked hard for it. but disrespect is placed upon one's self, you screw it up, you lost it, and it's real HARD to get that respect back again. not flaming you, just my opinion!!!
32 BTW, and feeling 16(or is that acting........)

I don't think you're looked down upon. On a local forum I see 18 year old get loads of respect while much older guys get slammed.
Here's my .02 on younger/older guys on the same forum...
Respect is given...disrespect is earned. It's all up to how the individual handles themselves.

You older guys think it's hard to tell your age.. pssht, you think it's easy for me to say i'm 15 in a forum where the average age is like 25-30?? Talk about being looked down on!

RE: How old is everyone here?
32 - one beautiful wife (says I need to grow up - I have no idea what she is talking about - I just sold my Spider-Man comic collection a year ago to buy more RC), 2 kids (both girls 7 & 4 - hooked on RC already). My first RC was a Tyco buggy, my first hobby grade was a RC10 original - gold tub & short A-arms, believe it or not, I run this thing for a long time using the variable resistor speed control - it used a second servo to slide the contact along the resistor changing how much amps went to the motor (it was give to me from my cousin). When I was 17 I baught another RC10 Buggy - gold tub with the longer A-arms this one had the stealth tranny. Just got rid of them about 3 years ago, needed to purchase something a little more basher proof! My current collection is an Aftershock, a CX2 (heli) & my 7yo's Micro-T/B.
Just because some of you are young does not mean you don't have more experience than others, 2DMaxLST is only 16 and has pretty much convinced me to use an LRP .28 instead of an OS .30. He has more experience with Nitro than I do, I have only been running nitro for a little more than 2 years. Up until then I was strictly electric & I had took a long abscence from RC until about 4 years ago. Age has nothing to do with experience in certain areas, some of these "kids" have been doing RC longer than a lot of use "adults". Just as they can learn about other life experiences from us, we can learn some RC tricks from them.
I plan on "playing" with my RC's till they pry the controller from my cold dead fingers, when ever that may be!
Thanks & be good!
