being a newbie I bought one of each of these GPs. whats the difference in the power band between them; I would just like to know what to look for as I am running them so I am not going in blind. I have read a few articles about them but since they differ in each type of engine it's hard to find specifics. If the a plug is colder it will retard the timing; if hotter it will advance the timing. Where will this show on the track?

The glow plug will have no effect on the engine's powerband. All it does is change the timing: Colder plug retards timing, hotter plug increases it. You should be just fine with MC-59's.
