how long des the hp brake pads last?

how long des the hp brake pads last?
Mine could only last 6~8 tanks or so, is this normal?
Any good ways to make them last longer or am I doing something wrong?
I've adjusted them time after time and still they got burned pretty fast.
Maybe I should learn how to brake less. LOL!!!

should see atleast a gallon+ out of them.
make sure they arent rubbing at idle. you should be able to nudge the truck with your foot and have it roll easily.
if all is well... its just your driving style then(or maybe it got burned up before you adjusted it?). they are inexpensive, see how the next set does.
