my poor muggy...
well of course i didnt get this on video.... i was at keepontruckins house and we were bashing, well the wires on the reciver battery came out... and doing about 40mph and slamming a curb when its about 35degrees out isnt ever going to end well... after it slammed the curb it bounced off and was doing WOT donuts in the street.... so after about 5-10secs i got to it and stomped it down to stop the tires from ballooning... and killed the motor AHH!!!!! well i broke the following: upper/lower arms, shock and i ripped about an inch long hole in my brand new tires they had about 5 runs on them!!! the motor was at WOT for about 5-10 secs so i hope it is fine, still turns over which is good ... and of course we didnt get it on video and after i crashed it started to snow... we had about an inch that we were messing in, and it was still coming down so maybe no school tomorrow and another bash video well here are some pics.... its going to cost about $200 to fix im going all RPM, TiNi shick shafts, and some other stuff... and i know my face is retarded looking in the pic keepontruckin got me at a bad time lol
the black should be even with the silver... grr

Get a throttle return spring installed and use electrical tape or heat shrink tube to prevent any electrical connections from disconnecting. If you don't do these things, your runaways will just cost more when you replace the aftermarket stuff next time.
I tape or heatshrink where the battery plugs into the on/off switch, I usually put a ziptie around the receiver over the servo connections to lock them down and I will also use a ziptie to hold the crystal in (even though I have been synthesized for a while now).
You can buy any throttle return spring; Associated, Traxxas, etc. Get a good anchor point for the spring and hook it up to where the carb closes if you move the throttle with your hand.
The things I just mentioned cost <$2.00 and would have saved that from happening.

Wow it looks just like my Muggy 2 weeks ago, when I did the same thing running into a cement wall at +30 MPH . My repairs were around 40 dollars all stock.

Buy a simple thottle return unit, if you get interfernce/low battery/signal loss/ or disconnect. returns the thottle right back to neutral. its a good investment. and cheap.
