RE: starter box?
The dual deck chassis prevents any wheel from being able to get to the flywheel - so those of us that race the LST or LST2 mostly use the spin start. I have seen one or two with a pull, but overwhelmingly they use rotostarts.
I don't see how even throwing money at the truck will allow the use of a bump box. Eliminating the dual deck and going to a flat chassis a la the muggy would get you there, but then it would no longer race in the MT class. And in fact it would mostly be a muggy at that point. Believe me, I wish it were possible. I can't stand having to use a OWB to start the truck. But what can you do?
Keep wishing I guess! Maybe, if Losi releases an LST3, they will engineer a chassis that allows the use of a bump box. We can always hope!
