Default GPS Speed?

Just wondering if I am the only GPS freak out here? Has anyone strapped a GPS to their truck lately? Please send feedback!

Losi Street 45 mph (GPS)
Losi Dirt 43.1 mph (GPS)

i guess both are lrp , the one with the yellow cage is hard to tell....but ok the lrp states the useable rpm range is up to 33,000 and the mach is up to 35,000 ...i know 2000 rpm is not alot but how could the lrp be faster on top end with the same setup...from what i have read on other threads long ago...about 41-42 is what a few people said...I dont have a gps and prob. wont spend a c-note to find out but ok....by the way what is up il2 long time no see

My truck was a stock engine 427 but I run it pretty rich, and I have tons of extra metal and cage on it.

That is an easy one to answer. Even if the top RPM is 2000 higher the overall power output of the engine will limit the top speed. That is to say that even though the LRP may have a lower top RPM it has much more overall power therefore gains a higher top speed because it is actually able to almost "tach out" under a load. The Mach is a great engine but unless it is on pavement headed downhill it is unlikely to "tach out" due to it's lower power compared to the LRP.

.26 Vs .28 (Although Losi calls the 427 a .27 it's a .26)

Team Losi 0.270 Mach 427 1.31 @ 26,750 rpm 53.80 oz-in @18,750 rpm 43,250 rpm Trinity Monster HP 30%
VS.
LRP 0.28 Z Spec.3 1.87 @ 27,200 rpm 70.77 oz-in

full maxx,
Sorry for the late replies but “again” I have been busy. I own a Mach, XTM and LRP and I will say this “the Mach does not even come close to the others. Check out this link http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=6648428 for a comparison of the Mach and the M26SS.

From what I have found out by comparing engine parts of the Mach and the M26SS is the mach has a little bigger carb and about 1mm larger intake ports.

The bottom line is my XTM and LRP will outperform the Mach all day long. More ports and bigger carbs make these two engines scream all day long.

PS: The Mach is a great sport engine and I have no problem with it!
