Default RPM A-arms

I was wondering what the weight of the RPM arms is compared to the stock LST1 arms. I don't want to get the LST2 conversion kit and these arms are pretty indestructable.

Stock Upper 24g.85oz
RPM Upper 25g- .89oz and thats with the steel turnbuckle
Stock Lower 35.5-1.25oz
RPM Lower 36.8g1.30oz

RPM's Rock but the Stock Turnbuckles Suck! So if you get them Plan on getting Lundsford turnbuckles for them......

Stock,

Lundsford,

Whoa, sugafree... Do you have 15 degree carriers???

Is it worth it?? My Muggy had them, but I never really saw the point... I frankly love the way my LST2 steers...

Ok thanks. It sounds to me that they're still light, so I should still have a light truck when I race.

But in that one pic of yours, your steering is way open looking... There must be a different geometry there or something.. Or is that just a BAC link??.. I bought a BAC link like two years ago, and have never installed it.. Waiting for the stocker to break..

Hey Sugafree , how durable have the carbon fiber chassis plates been for you ? I have a Losi C/F top plate I am going too put on but it seems too flex more than the stocker ?

I can second the need for Lunsford Ti turnbuckles. They are not optional, they are mandatory for RPM arms. RPM guarantees their plastic parts but not the turnbuckles. Problem is, when an RPM turnbuckle breaks, it usually brakes off inside the arm.

I think the Lunsford Turnbuckles are $6 ea. Don't buy the RPM arms unless you buy them too. Having said that, RPM arms are beefy and super strong.

All very true , I run with a buddy who also has an LST2 with RPM a arms and I have been giving him my RPM turnbuckles as he breaks his .... While youre at it might as well get the Lunsford steering links too , broke a couple of those from hard hits also ...

The part # for the Lunsford TB's is LNS 1540 (5mm x 40mm)

Thanks for the info Sugafree , I am gonna begin assembly of my chassis tonight ...

I noticed you put aluminum brackets under the motor (in a different pic) , think they are absolutely needed ? I am worrying about it cracking by the motor mount screws ?

I have an Ofna 086 pipe on my LRP Z.28 and its a real screamer

These are Cheaper than Lundsford, for the Steering Turnbuckles, 8ight-T Turnbuckles on LST2

The washers by the Motor mount are Not "Really" Needed (But it's a Good for a Little Extra Strength & is Easy to do) Stronger motor mount
