I want to go with the JetCat P-80
Jetcat is a great brand, but the P-80 is an older design... its very slow to spool up, uncompetitive with more modern designs... I have seen guys crash becuase failed to get power on time for an aborted landing.
Although you can get use to it, you don't have too... There are many 'fast' turbine out there.
Good luck

Edgar I don't think the jet that crashed with the P-80 was actually because the spool up times. That was really a pilot error from a beginner in turbines. The guy never get the feel of his turbine acceleratin respond neither in the ground or air. If adarsh get the time to know his turbine very well, he will not have any issues and will have a lot of fun with this combination. I agree with you that a faster spool up time is great and can help in dificult situations, but is not really the cause to crash a plane.

Thanks Edgar & Avicom, I already have a Jetcat P-80 with me, ofcourse, this is my first jet and I got myself a used P-80. But if you people say it could be dangerous, then i'll have to look at other better turbines. I dont want to crash my first jet for not being my fault.
In your opinion which is a good turbine engine to go with? Can you please suggest me a few in the 20lb thrust range.
In India i'm the 007 th person who's going to own and fly a turbine jet. I guess the number 007 is turning very lucky to me Hey and today's date is 007-007-007

Ardash the new JetCat P-120SE have the new faster spool up times. Or you can go with the ArtesJet brand or Simjet. The best choice for you really is which one can give you the best support and service in your area. I think that getting a very good service is more important part when buying your turbine. For your new rookie the Artes Jet Falcon will be a great combination fast respond and 22 pounds of thrust.
