Default Gold Coast Pic's

This was Saturday:
I hope othere's will post some pic's. I was able to finally meet some faces to go with the names, which was great. I think it was a little short notice. Jake really held down the fort before Tam's guy's showed up.

I forgot to take my camera out of its bag until it was almost time to go home, so I don't have many pics... and the quality kinda sucks but maybe it's better than nohing. so here goes:

Kenny with his F15. Someone told me that this was a yellow aircraft, but it definitely looks blue / grey to me...

Sorry - I have a few more pics, including some F18 & F15 formation shots, but keep getting "document contains no data" errors from RCU when I try to upload them. I may try again tomorrow.

Hi Buck:
Thank you buddy. A nice Oly or 200 would really push her.

Gordon, did Bob show up. It was great seeing and talking with you.

I would like to thank Mark LaCoste and crew, including his wife and two girls, for doing a great job in putting on this jet show. We had a great time and will be back again next year to tear it up. Special thanks to Gordon for driving up with me and hanging out even though he did not get his parts for his Bobcat that he needed so he could fly, he still came just to hang out and have fun. Once again we underestemated how much flying we were going to do and ran out of fuel on Saturday, I think Jimmy used most of the fuel we had flying the F-16 nonstop...so thanks to Mark for having his fuel in the back of his truck out in the open where I can see it.
Kenny, you are the man. Just having you there, hanging out, and chasing you around in that F-15, made sharing a room with Jimmy and Gordon worth the smell. Thanks for everything bro, and I will see you in a few weeks.
Thanks again to everyone that was there.........Carlos, I hope you deleted those pictures?

BTW for Kenny - yes, I certainly DID avenge you. When we stopped to check the tranny fluid, the truck was left in the hot sun with the windows up, for about 5 minutes. When Dave got back in, he just about passed out. I'm working on a new aiming device for when I see you guys next.

Tell Jill (or is it Gill ?) that I think she's an absolute gem ... there's probably only a handful of women on the planet who would come all that way for a jet meet, just to sit patiently and uncomplainingly in a hot & dusty environment looking after the kids while her guy plays with his toys. You lucked out big time there bro...

First Mark, family and crew, awesome show! The food was awesome and you couldn't have a more friendly flying environment. I will be back next year for sure!

Dave you are the man! You are a blast to hang with as the laughs never stop. The formation stuff was great and I think we were getting nice and tight on the last flight. We will definitely do it again soon! Buttonwillow in a couple of weeks? Call Duk Duk and the crew and lets get it going. Tell your wife Jill and I said hi, she was a joy to be around and it was nice to see someone keep you in check...

Gordon it was nice to finally meet you. You are a great guy with great power and aim. Thank you very much for avenging me. I was helpless against the power of the Dave. I soon found out who had the true power all 70 ft of it... Thanks for the kind words about Jill. I am really lucky that she is so supportive of my hobbies and that she is such a good mother. She says hi.

Dave (Whodaman), It was nice to finally meet you also. I am sure we will meet again soon and I will bring an extra motor next time...

Dave - keep us advised of your engine decisions, and how you like whatever it is that you end up buying - it's always good to hear objective feedback on a whole range of turbines.

From a purely selfish point of view, I'd love to have a Merlin (or a P200) somewhat local to here, so that we can finally see the engine in person and see how it stacks up. I'll also keep you advised on how I like the BMT that I've just ordered, in case you're still looking for more engine options when I reach the point of having some time on that engine.

Gordon, did Bob show up.
He didn't make it this time.

Later bud,
Gordon

Hi Gordon:
I do have the Merlin and will be going with that. I have a class that I have to attend in L.A. and will be back next week. After my return I will be putting my full attention on the bird. I would love to hear your opinion on the BMT. I will keep you informed of first flights and turbine reliability. Thank you so much for all you have done Gordon and it was a pleasure to meet up with you. Maybe you can make it to the first flight. I might have Dave test her out for me.

First, I would like to thank my wife Cheryl, and my girls Shelby & Hailey for helping me out this weekend. This would not have run as smooth as it did without you guys. Next, to all of the Sacramento Red Barons members that did their typical outstanding job!

Thanks go out to this year's sponsors......TamJets, BVM, Vertical Hobbies.com & Artes Jets Gulf Coast. You guys are always great, and your sponsorship is greatly appreciated!

For what ever reason, the turn out was low this year. I was told that it was probably due to graduations, weddings, etcetera....... But, for all the guys that showed up........WE HAD A BLAST!!!! Nothing but wide open skies, and all the flying you wanted to do. And that's what we did, fly our butts off!

I would like to personally thank all the pilots that came out this weekend. You guys rock, and it was great to see you all again!

Team TamJets, thank you guys for once again supporting my event. Dave, what can I say......you're a nut case, and damn glad to call you a friend. Jimmy, great to finally meet the faceless teammate. We need to get together more often.

Gordon, great to finally meet you, and I will have an award specially made just for you!!!! Sad to say that you have definitely taken the title from me.......

Kenny, great to see you Jill, Kenny Jr., and Cameron. Awesome flying (as usual) with the Yellow F-15! See you guys soon!

Chris, Kevin, and the rest of Team Setting.....great to see you guys again! On to Fresno!

Everyone else that I've missed, good to see all of you again! Don't be strangers, let's get together informally and burn some kero!

Gordon, I figured out why you are having trouble with the picture. The one you emailed me was 6mb, and that may be the issue. I converted it to JPG and reduced the size dramatically.
Awsome shot!

LOL - how come you posted the pic of you missing the centre-line by 7 inches ? I'd have thought you would have preferred a shot of one of your better landings !

The pic size is apparently not the issue here - the first 3 pics that I posted were the exact same size ; the problem is with my wireless Sprint broadband system causing timeouts. I'm replacing this worn-out service provider with cable this Friday; in the meantime I'll take some of the pics into work on a CD tomorrow, and if I get time then I will post them from there.

That must be that new center-line finding GPS nose gear John Redman developed? Very nice bro.

Some formation shots - unfortunately I don't have a whizz-bang camera like Jimmy, so appologies for the quality.

Jake's little pocket rocket. Although I'm sure that it only does 200.00000000 mph, it sure seems to move.

Preparing for the formation flying ... you do NOT want to know where Dave's other hand is. Mark is clearly aghast, and since Kenny is facing away, I couldn't tell whether he was pleased or shocked.
