Please provide your opinion or the results of your experiences over the years regarding storing fuel in the bottom of a field box with all the necessary electronics.

Since no one has put forth an opinion on the original set of options I added one more. Can you guess which one?

My Feedback: (1)
Steve there has been no votes probably because for some reason the board will not accept a vote or respond to a vote, at least for me and I am logged in.
In regards to your question, No I have never had a problem over the years simply because I refuse to store or transport fuel (any Fuel) any where on or in a field box with potentially live electrical circuits. My fuel is always transported in separate gallon containers with attached manual fuel pumps and placed for transport in the truck away from the field box or startline box. For different types of fuels I sometimes use each has its own container and dedicated pump.

John,
Probably my bad.
I checked the innability to enter a vote and found that the date on the lower right of the option screen was in the past. Therefore, not allowing anyone to vote.
Thank you for your comment.
Now, perhaps, we will see what the current consensus is.

Do we not know the answer or is this poll too common sense to get a reply?

I just finished building a new field box that includes the electronics from a portable car starter. After installing those components along with a power panel and quick charger panel, I came to the point where it was time to decide whether or not to install a fuel tank in the box. After thinking long and hard about it, I decided against it. Putting a fuel tank next to a large 12V battery that is hooked to three panels with exposed wiring just didn't seem like a good idea....call me crazy but I like to believe this kind of thinking is whats kept me alive all these years.

Damon,
I appreciate your response. I am tending to agree with your logic.
