Glad you are happy with the Tx. You have a classic!
Ferndale,
Can you describe the problem you are having?
Site is back up with just the parts. Docs will be posted in a few days. Figured I might as well keep it up with the docs at least. Newcomers will have a place to go for info.
If you have any suggestions on the docs, let me know by email and I'll do my best to change them. When you are the author, modeled for 25+ years and have a degree in electronics, sometimes you don't think like a newcomer and explain things in a way that may not be cler to others. All suggestions are welcome.

Just received my F-117 Stealth FF glider in the mail here at work from FlyZone.
It's made of 3mm depron foam and comes in two parts. The bottom is flat while
the top seems to be molded in one piece of 3mm foam. Very light.
Decals are a bit off scale but nice. The two sided tape will make it impossible to take
appart once together so I may have to cut a tray out from the bottom to mount
the AA guts.
When I get home I'll weigh it and post some pics.
It seems tailored made for an AA conversion. Almost as if they had the AA in mind
when they designed it.

I just bought an aero ace last night, best 30 bucks i ever spent! i just got home from the park... i am amazed at how high it can fly! My dad is even going to get one! (after being into cars and trucks for a few years, and he has no intrest in getting one... get a ventura rtf.. still no intrest.. get an aero ace... he says "get me one!") i am going to get another one, and maybe use the electronics in somthing like neurotex is doing.. I am going to get the landing gear mod for my AA, it seems cool... i need to read over this thread, no way ill get through all the pages tho!

If he gets intrested in something bigger and more mainstream have him check into and get a T-Hawk! I got one anout 3 weeks ago and learned to fly 3 channel with it. AWESOME plane and value!

Holy cats, that looked great until I hit the price. I have a redhawk 3 ch. I haven't flown it much because of space issues. It's a v-tail, but otherwise appears to be the same plane. I got it a local shop for 80. And then found it online for 60.
Mega-byte, I think I'm just having battery problems. I have yet to buy a tach, it could happen, but from the sound I doubt I'm in the 3000 rpm range. Perhaps, tonite I'll break down and order a couple of batteries.
DJ, I recieved the light mods today!!
These are great! I'll poke around my recycle parts pile and see if I can find the aamods light kit, but I'm guessing yours are 1/4 the weight. Now I want it to get dark.

I found a potential issue with the mono mod w/ stir sticks. The wing loading that is achieved is trying to pull the wing off. Since there is a solid connection between the body and the middle of the wing, the wing is trying to get loose at the root. A small amount of tape may solve this, I don't know yet. The wing supports are cut at 3 1/4" which fits comfortably between the original spar slot and the lower wing slot. I'm not trying to give the wing a higher profile. Although I might do that later. Amusing flight feat of the day, I got the plane inverted, flying forward, and the wind hovered it and then deposited it in my truck bed. It dropped almost straight down, 5', with motors at full power. Tim

I have decided that a racing plane is not the answer for lights. I'm going to go ahead and slow down my plane that hates the sun. I installed DJstingers light kit, but as bright as it is I can't see the wings. The light kit is 5 stars, but I'm flying too fast for the conditions. winglets first. Then if necessary, full biplane mode. Tim

Ferndale,
For a point of reference. The stock AA produces 5-6gm of thrust(each wing) at max power. The lower current motors produce 1.5gm of thrust at max power. So, if everythings right, 2 low current motors would be 3gm of thrust(each wing) at full power flying like a stock AA at just above 1/2 throttle pulling less power.
Sounds like they are perfect for your project as full power would be reduced proportionally across the range. AA's fly well at 1/2 throttle. A setup like that would be gentler to control.
Keep me informed.

Chris , Yes I am making the circuit boards.
I HAVE 2 MORE LIGHT KITS TO SELL $15.00 ea. I ALSO HAVE A MODIFIED Tx FOR SALE ON E-BAY , ITEM # 200035003462
I WILL BE PUTTING A LIGHT KIT E-BAY THIS COMING WEEKEND.
Fern , Try bending the lights up a little bit so that the beam shines on the wings , just be careful. I put wing supports on last night , I don't know if I am going to like this mod , the plane is not as forgiving as it used to be. Now it turns very sharp with a tendency to spiral downward. I will play with it for awhile and see if can't get it to settle down.

WOW ... that is _____ COOL. I want one and for only $4.99 + shipping . I'm thinking a modified rx with blue ss motors is exactly what the F-117 needs. Keep me updated with your project...

Hmmm, not sure Weck, any other 3 channel I would think would be good. I may try a Cub possibly eventually. I tried flying my EZ again a few days ago but I think I have a CG issue and need to add some more weight in the nose. The T-Hawk is so fun to fly! I love it.

Not much bigger than the AA jet. I cut out the whole bottom section and then
applied the top. Then cut out the intakes and prop slots and then repainted
everything in a charcoal acrylic wash. Decals are from various model kits and
are water soluable.
Finished plane without the AA works is 11.6 grams which makes it just under
the AA jet weight.
Glides nice but the CG has to be dead on to keep the nose up. It has wing flaps
and tail flaps so that should make trimming easier.

Thats really cool neuro... i am getting the AA jet tonight.. all toys r us has in stock.. i assume that is the AA jet next to your AA-electronics-powered F-117? Is the AA jet any faster than the biplane? is there anything else i should know about the jet?
Also, my biplane is having trouble mantaining altitude.. its practically brand new, for the first 3 or so flights, it flew fine, and it doesnt always do it, but usually.. its fine in a 100% fresh battery but one minute through the flight, it starts. My last question is, what mods are worth doing to my AA? i do not plan on ruining it, its not experimental.. in specific, is taking the bottom wings of worth it?
sorry for all the questions, i figured id ask them all in one post to get them done with... thanks

The Easy Star Is Impressive if balanced and trimmed correctly before each flight. It soars majestically, but if you make a wrong move close to the ground it turns into a flying boxcar(litrerally)

Yeah well if not careful the T-Hawk will tip stall as well. It's one of the first things a beginner learns, the hard way!
