Oh Stop! Heres's a simpler version. The needle under the High speed needle is a midrange needle. When you're accelerating from an idle the low speed needle needs to be rich enough to provide the fuel necessary to get the motor pulling and gaining RPM's until the high speed needle can take over and continue the acceleration. Kinda like a relay race. The guy fast off the line but only a short distance is first then the guy that can run super fast but sucks off the line is second. With a midrange needle you've kinda got a guy that can do both but kinda sucks at both. If you know what you're doing you can use the midrange needle to make the switch between LSN and HSN perfect. IN THEORY![:-].
Well, it's a Kyosho and i'm not Kyosho support:P and I really don't know anything about engines...but the 3rd needle-DON'T touch it! ever! i'm still not even quite sure exactly what it does, LOL

Oops, somebody already said that

1 - Cluth Spring (Traxas sprign is really good and should last more)
2 - steering arms (you can upgrade those with ALUM PARTS from HPI)
3 - Rear axes holders (Still coudn't find ALUM ones ! I think Entity has them)

With time more parts will brake but I think those three are the MUST HAVE SPARE ones. :-)

Don't forget about gears! They seem to like to strip. You can remedy that with an hpi clutchbell also.

2: steering arms & door type mounts(holders)
diff gear & clutch bell have also given a couple of people problems.

Everything else bananaboat has hit the nail on the head!

(I have jumped/fliped mine costing me a steering arm when it landed, but no problems after upgrading it)

My Son did a backflip with a Volcano. With the right ramp anything can. He finally ripped up the rear diff after ALOT of jumping. The shocks blew out right away from jumping. If you're going to do alot of jumping the key is to make sure that when you land you're not hard on the brakes or gas. Either one can cause big problems.

Hey Bananaboat ! How are you busting these things?? My son twisted an axle and the rear driveshaft. I think his rear differential is finally stripping out. You seem to bust the stuff my kid can't! How's the Kyosha?

huahuahuauhaha Chubby ... I wish I could do at least ONE really good jump !!! cause so far I never did anything that I could call a jump .... my left rear axes holder broke after a bad curve... (hehehehe) and after that I am running with a broken part fixed with super glue ! So basicly I run on soccer fields... no big NOTHING !! :-( but today, even running on that, the right one broke !!! Must be a really bad driver !!! heheeh tell your kid to give me some tips !!! :-)

The Kyosho is really cool !! no breakage's so far... and I don't think they will happen that soon ! that thing is really strong ! Tomorow I'll try to find a good place for my first jumps !! wish me luck !!!

Bananaboat,
If they have them by you get yourself a small skateboard ramp. I just picked up 2 at a sale for $10. They are about 2' wide and 3' long. They launch the trucks great!

Entity,
I will take your response as you are doing OK. Ya know this forum is about Redcat first and RC cars second, at least as I see it. Both Bananaboat and I have Redcat trucks. He, like myself bought, another brand to expand our hobby intrests. I asked him a spimle question about his new RC after asking a Question about his Redcat. It's sad to me that you have to jump down my thoat so quick about the RC discussion but cannot respond to my question of your condition. I heard you were in the hospital but I see you have fully recovered.
