Should work fine if you up the batt to 8 or 900 MA and go 3s instead of 2S. If you have enough power you can always throttle back. You'd be disappointed with not enough.

I'd recommend no less than a 3s 900 mah. I have a TP 2S 480 mah and I don't use it. I'm going to build a small, light plane for indoor or absolutely no wind that I'll eventaully get to use it on. You can save an oz of weight by going with the Esskay motor from hobby-lobby.com. It is the best performance for your $25 (on sale through 3/15).
With a bigger battery, I'd recommend buying a couple of 9x4.3 GWS SF props.

I like to keep my shockies at around 6-7 ounces for indoor use. That means about one ounce for motor, 1-1.2 ounce for batteries, 3 x 4-6 gram servos, a 6-gram RX, and a 6-8 gram ESC. I have some specs on my plans at www.rippinfoamies.com.
