im planning on my tamiya hop-up wish list. Any suggestions are welcome.

Here is my TT-01.

So far I have an Aluminium Drive Shaft, Ball Bearings and the Heat Sink.

Soon it will have the carbon upper brace, aluminium oil filled shocks, decent 27t stock motor. I need some new tires too, prolly get some takeoff 27's.

And yeah, you will need some new tires, stockers on a TT-01 are trash. If you are just a basher. pick up some foamies, they are cheap and last longer than rubbers, but are not legal to race with at all tracks. If you are a racer, pick up some rubbers, I like Take-offs the most, but whatever the others guys are running is normally the best .

Hmmm ive been thinking about street cars is the TT-01 good???

It is a good beginner car yes, but it is by no means a top end racer. It really lacks adjustability, so it's hard to dial in to a track, but that can be good for a new person because they can't mess it up to bad.

It is a really strong chassis, hard to break, and parts are available at nearly all LHS's. It is also a common chassis for people to drift with.

Running the Tamiya Sports Tuned motor (geared 22/58) I get around 30-40 minute run times with a 3000mAh pack. As for speeds, it tops out at about 45kph with the 22t pinion, pushing over 50kph with the 23t. I am picking up a racing stock motor (the tamiya sports tuned is a really crap motor, but its cheap, and is faster than stock) so I should be seeing closer to 55kph out of it I hope with the 22t pinion, and acceleration will be a heap better, bu runtime will drop to around 25mins I think.

Well racing doesnt matter to me the only RC tracks around here are dirt tracks so wouldnt have anywhere to race anyways I might look into one

If you arn't going to race, this car would be great.

I mean I even take mine off my jump at like 30mph!!! Never broke doing that either.

Haha last time I broke it was when I tagged a read wheel on a steel post at full speed, and that ONLY broke a rear a-arm brace, not even an arm itself!

i get around 60-70 kmph on my tt-01 ddepending on the terraini have aluminum shaft, ball bearings, aluminum heatsink, 22 t pinion, 10 t motor, foams. it goes vroom vroom lol.

does anyone have a tt-01 rally thsat they jump if so a picture would be nice

Hey folks. what pinion do you recomend to use with a Chameleon 2 pro, 19 turn motor?

22t pinion, and a 58t spur. If that doesn't get hot, move up to the 23t pinoin.

hmm, is it a bad idea to change only the pinion?

dont know where i can get my hands on a tamiya spur gear "cheap"?

You can only use curtain pinion, with curtain spurs in the TT-01. I can't remember all the combinations, but I find that 22/23 pinion with a 28 spur is great for anyt rack!
