Here are some photos showing the inside guts of the new VS tiger 1... new gear boxes not like the old marui ones with open exposed gears plus no more silly clicker sound in the gear box when turning like that was in all other 1/24 tanks.see the rear screws to ajust track tension.
notice new components.

Cool. Thanks for doing that for us Shen. It's pretty brave to open up a brand new toy like that. Of course, I have to be greedy here. Can you show us pictures of the battery box to see what you mean about the plastic tab/rechargeable battery issue? Now, after a few days to evaluate it, what is your overall opinion of the VS Tiger? Should we all get one, or is it like that girl down the street everyone should avoid. . .

Titan i will get a pic in a few....
It's ok i like the machine gun fire and the recoil of the main gun is really nice... another thing i like is no more clicking in the gear box when turning...the radio is nice it makes the tank run much better but it has so darn many buttons it will take a while to master!!
I would say it's worth getting just for the recoil and machine gun fire also the new radio ..but it don't work even though toyeast said it would...
Funny thing in the booklet they show abrams and leo's with the new radio... they may start upgrading the electronics in there old tanks so they will have the new radio in the future!

I hate to bead a dead horse here Shen -- but are the rechargeable AA's positive tabs too wide to fit between the tabs? I hate to ask another stupid question, but have you tried different brands of rechargeables? I really like the VS tanks, but I would hate to cut on a brand new one. And I would hate to buy $7 worth of batteries for every run (yikes!!!). Another question (do I ever shut up?) -- I have seen some different ads for the VS Tigers on the 'bay (besides the VS tankstore ads), and they show extensive weathering on both tanks (rusted tracks, etc.) Is that how they come, or are these photos touched up for the ads? Thanks!!!

Hi Titan they are weathered aa little and they tracks are p[ainted brown red and then they put some metal color on them they look good.
I have tried 3 type of batts inc the top of the line sany AAs the problem is the top of a rechargable batteries metal nipple dont extend out as far as a standard alkaline battey..so this is why you need to trim the tabs.

The other thing you can do instead of cutting teh tabs will be to add a little solder either to the positive tabs on the tank or on the batteries itself. I solder some AA rechargable packs b4 and the trick is to use a fine sand paper to sand the area you want to add the solder to on the battery tab and it will take solder after that.

Hey, what picture shows the track adjustment? & what two screws? my tiger ir throws a track every time I turn! or rips two teeth off of the front gear going to the front sprocket wheel on a regular basic! I received my second new entire gearbox from toyeast just for that one gear. I had two extras, not now. Thank you.

Hi it's this photo see the 2 screws...they are located under the speaker housing you got to take the speaker box off..... Also i found that the Tiger I tanks work better with a little lose tracks when you hold the tank up there should be some droop in the tracks under the road wheels.

Most likely will get them tomorrow.
