Oh, LOLOL I get it!

The second video was right out of the box, but the first video had the B/L motor and lots of fine tuning.

I had the blade cp pro for about 4 months until its lack of capability caught up to it and I wanted something more 3D able other than flips and rolls.

other than that, i had no previous rc experienc.

VERY impressive!!! i just learned to hold a (somewhat) decent hover on my axe cp and wanted to get another heli - heard great things about the HBKII but as my post said earlier i am still sitting on the sideline waiting for my issues to resolve then hopefully one day i can be a little showoff like you [sm=biggrin.gif]

lol,

thanks for the comment.

but as always, there will always be a bad egg.

i had a factory problem too, they drilled the hole for the main tail gear to low on the main shaft and after 6 flights the belt was fried. there must have been a lasey work that day or somthing.

sorry about your heli, ill bet it's discurageing to here such good things about it and then get a bad one.[:@]

Make sure you place your battery just barely in the vattery tary and use the velco strap to secure it. It can't slide forward once the canopy is put on and the velcro will keep it from sliding backwards. My HBK only took a penny for a great CG.

Hi,

Well Rusty (Betapilot) set me up with a HH Gyro and longer guides to help keep the belt on. In the meantime before I get the new guides, I had the shaft drilled about /32'" higher for the belt gear. It looks to be dead on straight to the tail. But the belt still keeps comming off. I don't see how the belt gear is suppost to stay higher. Doesn't that depend on the length of the brass coller? Anyone have any opion, help?[]

Thanks Jim

You need to buy a brushless ESC. The 25A ESKY ESC will work. But you dont have to buy an ESKY ESC.

Now it's a matter of belt tension...either too loose, or tight. If you raise the shaft, you use the top shaft locking collar to hold the shaft at the correct height. Belt tension is about 60% of a belt being thrown. Mine is doing well since I raised the pin, that's all I can say.

Thanks Jim

It has to be an ESC that is for a brushless motor or you wont be able to hook the motor to it.

Well, I achieved a milestone lastnight. I inverted hovered for about 20 seconds multiple times . I also did some loops, rolls and some other tricks. Man what a rush.

Disclaimer: all the above mentioned stunts we done while flying in a simulator

Then tonight I was really pushing my luck. We have winds 10-15mph with some pretty hefty gusts. I managed to fly out 2 batteries without crashing. Man that wind can throw that HBK around .

I am pretty much stuck at the moment. I can tail in and right side in hover like a madman. I can fly in just about every direction with the tail or right side in. But as soon as I go left side or nose in, its game over. For some reason I have having troubles with these to orientations. Left side in I can "kinda" do, but not to my liking. Nose in, forget it. I guess I am just gonna have to spend the time in FMS.

BTW, what I posted about the DX7 and FMS holds true for the DX6 as well.

Spektrum DX7, Rx AR6100, (3) DS285. (About $340 shipped) $20/servo. That's expensive.
Spektrum DX7, Rx AR6100. (About $280 shipped)

I am getting very close to order one of these combo's now. Can not wait much longer. Been grounded for too long.[&:]
Man! I thought $20/servo based on combo deal was expensive until I priced them individually; $35 each!

Spektrum DX7, Rx AR6100, (3) DS285. is on the way. I hope all will be ok.

Anyone has the settings for DX7-HBK2?

Thanks Crash

I did tighten the belt and now it doesn't jump off. I still think Rusty's solution is better. We will see.

I am still playing wiht my Norm Pitch and Throttle Curves. But this will give you a good starting point.

If you have any questions when you get the TX, I'll be sure to help you best I can.

Ok all I have a question,

I have a brand new CP Pro radio..... Could I put the receive crystal from the pro into the receiver of a e-sky receiver and use the radio on my king? I just hate to see a good radio go in the drawer never to be used.

They are made by exactly the same factory...I've torn both radios down. The answer with the exception of a few minor differences is yes...try it, I think it will work. I got a stock HBKII radio and a Blade CP radio laying in front of me in peices...even the crystals are the same (just check freq match between TX/RX before you power up, and the reversing switches).

NP Bud.

I gotta tell ya. The HBK is a tottaly different heli with this Tx. I image the DX6 is pretty close as well. But I think the DX7 is a better buy and you can get it is really onlyl $40-50 more then the DX6.

I can get a DX6 and two AR6000 for about $200 (without servos of course). DX7 is running like $340(?).

My all stock HBK2 was silky smooth (hovering) out of the box. My radio die shortly after though. I couldn't wait to see how much improvement w/ DX7. Did you use the stock servos or the combo's?

I was looking at DX6, Futaba 2.4G, DX7 (no servos) and DX7 full combo. At the end DX7 full combo won. Man! One radio system = 3 HBK2's (bare bone). How do Esky make $.

Umm, hey guys. I am buying the HBK2 soon, and i was wondering how reliable is the TX. Because i dont really have a lto of money to spend on a 350 dollar TX, adn iw as just wodnerin if my radio kicks the bucket, what options would i have to fix it. (What woudl i have to buy and replace)

I would like to know where you found a DX6 + Rx for $200? I looked for two weeks before I finally just got the DX7. Best I could find was like 180 for the TX and 45 for the TX = $225. For $50 bux I figured I would get the better system.
