Ok so i broke one last week, bought another differential and took it out for 5 freakin minutes and ZZZZZ only the front tires are spinnging, so i take a look and &%&^@%&@$$@ the freakin differential bevel gear shaft is snapped on the rear differential. IS my slipper clutch to tight or something? This is becoming a PITA!
What can i do to avid this? Loosen the slipper? Is their a stronger part i can buy somewhere to avoid this?
I just upgraded to the T-Maxx halfshafts and they seem to be holding up well.
Any advice?

Don't worry, you're not the only one.. I broken 3 - 2 at a time yesterday. I finally e-mailed HPI about this last night (included pictures, you should too if you e-mail them), and received a reply this morning.
Aparantly they're slightly different material, so this is good news! I don't want anything to do with the previous ones I broke, so I'll see how these hold up.
Matt,
I am sorry to hear you have had so many issues with the diff. gears on your E-Savage. We have seen a few cases of this happening but not an outrageous amount. I can give you a set of gears for both the front and rear end if you would please send the following information: full name, shipping address-no P.O. box, and a phone number incase we have shipping errors. Once I have that I can go ahead and ship them out. They are a slightly different material and should hold up a little better. Thanks!

Hey what is thier e-mail address?
I'm definately e-mailing them, this is the 2nd freakin set and it's REALLY pissing me off, i can't even enjoy the truck! But it's still better then my E-Maxx, that thing breaks all the time!
Kyoshokid~ No not yet, tony at largescale is waiting for my check to clear and he will be shipping everything out, i can't wait till i get the FG MT! If i keep breaking differential bevel gears, i will put it in the middle of the street and run it over with the 1/5 scale FG MT lol...no i seriously will do it!

That may be the issue...
You know they updated some parts on the E-savage over the E-zilla? Well, essentially no one with the original E-zilla (Even Kosta who has used his to test pretty much every motor available) has broken this part. It may be that they attempted to improve the material like they thickened the driveshafts and c-hubs, but messed it up and made them weaker. This 'new' material may simply be them going back to the old style part. If I could give any advice, it would be to try and secure the old E-zilla part rather than the new E-savage part. I have just received 3 of them, i have only ever broken one from doing 12ft jumps (about 30, running 3 shocks on the front) at a lhs sponsored bash session, again, I have the old E-zilla.

The differential bevel gear shaft that connects to the dogbone keeps snapping. I'll post some pics soon.

i would try to go with the original e-zilla parts as well, i got one, and the first time i ran it i backed it into a car tire at half throttle and snapped the RR shaft just in front of the hole that the set screw for the axle goes into, ordered a new one, and have been romping on it ever since with no breakage. it was my first hobby grade r/c vehicle and i wasnt ready for the raw power of the zilla! have broken many other parts like shock ends, c-hubs, and the body mounts, but no diff shafts!
