There are quite a few on sale on ebay for around $100-120. They usually come with the receiver, battery, and manual. The reason is because they are part of a helicopter package and many of the people buying the heli package already have a DX7. So unless the seller keeps some of the items you would be getting the full DX6i package.

the ones selling on ebay from the blade 400's are for the transmitter only with no receiver. the battery's that come with it are just regular AA's, not the rechargable battery packs that will be included when the dx6i is released.

My Bad. I was sure I saw them yesterday with the full package but I sure can't now. I probably mixed up what I saw on e-bay with what I saw at a retailers. Sorry for the confusion.

I had a small crash on my Trojan which cracked the cowling and the motor mount. The cowling wasn't that bad and I just taped the inside of the cowling. However, the motor mount needs to be replaced. I've been looking for one and it seems to be backordered everywhere I look. Has anyone seen any available?

Hey dwilt72...I ordered a motor mount w/screws from Hobbytown USA about a month ago and just picked it up the other week. I also crashed and broke the motor mount as well as bent the motor shaft. Everything is put back together, although I might need a new motor or repair my tweaked one. Anyone successfully repaired a motor shaft yet?! Cant wait to get this t28 in the air..shes seen many nice days of flying, yet none this rainy winter season here in CA. Take care!

I "kind of" repaired a bent shaft. I still get a vibration at certain speeds on the bench. I haven't test flown it yet. It really needs to be replaced.

I rebuilt and reinforced my motor mount with hot glue.

Here are some photos of my plug and play T-28. I cut in some flaps and hinged them to the bottom so they drop straight down, a 10x7 3 bladed prop adds some power and a CC BEC so I do not burn up the stock ESC running 6 servos. One of the places we fly has a small parking lot on top of a hill, so it helps to land slow. Some guys have also tightened the wheels so it adds some braking when landing. The radio is a DX7 and the flap servos are Spektrum s75. The flaps are on the 3 way switch and drop 50% and 100% the elevator drops also to keep the plane level. I may change the 50% to only 25% and use it for take off as I only use the 100% for landing. It would be nice to have the flaps on a slider like the Futaba radios. I added to the paint scheme to make it easier to spot, there are about 4-5 other Trojans in our flying group.

I may need to do something like this myself. My son-in-law and brother-in-law both got this plane for Christmas...3 guys...exact same plane for Christmas. I went to my son-in-law's a couple of weeks ago. I knew I needed to replace the motor mount, so after I got home, I pulled the cowl off and was looking at the motor mount which I knew I had broken and we had temporarily patched. I couldn't find where we had fixed it...then I glanced at the tail...my son-in-law had changed the 365 number on the tail to 366...this plane had 366....I HAD HIS PLANE! I guess I at least need to add some stickers or something so I know mine at a glance. However, we did get this really cool picture....

What type of balancing lead does the battery come with?
I believe it's a JST-XH. Can anyone confirm this?

I've heard it referred to as "align" connector, which may the JST-XH. It has several names I believe. I can say it is compatible with the Equinox Balancer connectors:

Align, Dualsky, E-flite, Common Sense, E-power, Dn Power, and others use the JST XH. I am assuming that Parkzone would use the same as E-flite.

Anyone know of a whistle or something i can mount to this thing to make some noise.. I tried normal whistles and even a whistle with no cork pea in it but they need to much air pressure to make noise... i would love to go into a dive and have it scream lol

Yes,

Normal whistles won't work due to the airflow passing over the exit chamber.

Go to a toy store and get the Nerf football that whistles. It only costs a few dollars. It will have three can type whistles in it that you can dig out. The great part is that each one is tuned to a different length for a different pitch. I think the longest one is like an inch. I use one on the nose of my Stryker quite successfully and it will whistle up to about 60 MPH. It can be heard over full throttle which for a Stryker is very noisy due to the high RPMs of the pusher prop.

cool ive been looking for something for some time now lol... The trojan is so silent when flying that a little noise would be awesome. I wish they made electric props that made noise now that would be cool

The DX6i transmitter is very good. Get one for your T-28! I got one with my Blade 400 a couple of weeks ago. I now have a DX7 and the DX6i and I'm very happy with both of them. If you want full range and you don't need 7 channels the DX6i will be great for you. The roller bar is a nice improvement over the DX7. It also uses less juice than the DX7 so it only needs 4 AA batteries. The DX6i doesn't come with rechargeable batteries in the Blade package but if I choose to I can upgrade later on. There is a charging jack on the transmitter (but no charger).

The Blade 400 is awsome for me. I was debating a T-Rex or the Blade. The T-Rex is a better machine but I don't have time to build one, I just want to fly. Plus the T-Rex priced out to about $900 (using my DX7 radio). I'm very happy but I'm a beginner Heli pilot so I have nothing to compare it to. The experienced pilots seem to be real critical of the Blade but I took it out of the box, charged the battery, did the preflight checks listed in the manual and hovered it for 6 minutes the first flight in a gym. I'm a very happy Blade 400 owner. I have lots of Heli hours on Realflight but this is my first real heli. The simulator experience really benefited my first live heli flight. I can't wait for the rain to go away so I can try it outdoors. I may spend some money on parts but for the price difference I now have a $450 parts budget.

Now I have something to complement my T-28 when I want to fly at home or at the gym at work.

Hi I am considering getting one of these (used to a F27 Stryker) However where I fly has no tarmac, but rough grass, can you not assemble the wheels and land it on its belly Ok?

You could but the prop would strike and probably break. I land mine on a dirt lot. You could try bigger tires.
