tim, check out I think post 23 & 24, theirs a few, I now I ran into a link somewhere I'll have to dig it up, the best bet get on ebay or model shop and pick up a 1/48 scale model, you will use it through out the complete build - works great! when your done put it back on ebay.

Does anyone have artwork/photos/renderings/etc of the negligee-clad woman on the B25J "How Boot That!?" I'm in the finishing stages of my Zirolit 101" B25J and I'll be using G38's for power. I used Klass Kote aluminum paint, same finish as the full-size How Boot That, but now that it's getting cold, I'll have to put off the final trim painting until spring. In the meantime, if I can find some artwork, I'll work on putting it on the model. Thanks, Lee

I don't have a clear photo, here's what I have of the turret. The last photo is below the turret at the forward hatch.

Well I hope this thread keeps going. Was hoping to see some build pics so since I started my 101" Ziroli project I guess I could post some pics. My goal with this plane is to have a good reliable flyer that will get used often. I will not have a lot of fine detail as I want to keep the weight down but will have Robart retracts and working bomb bay. And ya gotta be able to drop some bombs right? Going with a pair of mag G26's as part of this "keep it simple project". I have been breaking in one of these engines on an old quarter scale spacewalker and am finding this engine very easy to start and very reliable. The B25 will be glassed and I am leaning toward the early 345th BG Falcon Squadron paint job. DWR

I scratch built the tail feathers while I was waiting for the short kit I ordered from Ziroli.
Got all the Ziroli goodies for the project. I was very happy with the quality of the short kit when it came in. Took a couple weeks to come in. I opted to put servoes in the horizonal stab for the rudders rather than go with the linkage.

Here are a couple shots of the fuse. Built six crutch support fixtures for six stations along the fuse then used a guide line to check against the center reference lines I put on the crutch before I took it off the plan. That way I was able to keep the fuse straight as I added
stringers to the bulkheads. It was pretty easy to get out of alignment if not watched closely. DWR

Here is what the G26 looks like in the Ziroli supplied glass cowls. I will make fairings to cover the carbs. It will be interesting to see how this will impact performance. I plan to test fly the cowl w/fairing setup on the spacewaker. I plan to put about a gallon of fuel thru each engine in the test mule before putting them in the B25. Don't want any suprises or break in issues on the B25's first flight. Also I am changing mufflers. Will glass the cutout back in. Found a Bisson that I can modify so muffler won't be visible. Final break in and adjustment of the of the engines on the mule will be done with the new mufflers. Has anyone else started their projects? Willey? DWR.

Nice looking B25 Alfsrc. As I understand it there were a lot of 25's that went thru Oz during WWII. Many of the early 345th BG strafer conversions were done in Townsville I believe. DWR.

G'Day Alf.
Good job on the B25 mate. Could you tell me where you got the color sceme from please? You are right on the conversions being done at Townsville during WW11 DWR.
Regards.
Bill.
