Yea, it seems like a good truck. I really wanted the buggy version, but then I was talkin to my friend and for the same price, the st has a few more goodies than the buggy; pillow ball suspension, VR3 motor, wider stnace and bigger tires. I might get the buggy body and wheels and make it into a buggy when i get it. What brushed motors do you recomend? how would the mini-t hop-up motor work in it?
And I still have my tc3 wheels/slicks so i will be able to drive on the road without messin up the stock dirt tires!!!

1 mini t motors- 280 size
2 detta motors- 380-400 size
the mini t motors are too small same with the mamba and cobalt
the stocker will hold up fine
i would suggest going brushless instead of a different
brushed motor
1 ammo 2835 3900 (54$)
2 ammo 3835 5100 (32$)
2 permax 4d 3.2mm shaft (50 something idk)
mamba (80)
quark (85)
the smaller motors wont have enough to move the big wheels and if they do they will burn out most probably

Well, me and TD are having a lil' debate on which Mini I should get. He says the raminator, I say Detta ST. I am for the most part gonna be bashing, but may get into racing somtime along the future. Can you please just not vote, but give me a lil' reasoning too? I already know the most votes are gonna be for the detta though hahaha!!
Thanks!!

The Raminator is just a stripped down version of the MLST.

If you are going to get the Detta. Go with this motor Permax 400/4D http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXNGX5&P=7
and then use the Quark Pro Car 33 ESC.
and then use the Quark Pro Car 33 ESC.

ya
use the losi mini peak charger
its imo by far the best
the chargers such as like the super brain and prophet plus cant charge
mini batts for beans lol
you can pm me for any questions
i can get you a vid of my detta once it gets up and running again
i took it apart to see how everything works in it and while doing so
i snapped a chassis by accidentaly jumping and landing on it lol
dtx gives me free parts
! lol so ya
things i really liked about it when i opened it up
are...
how the shocks are mounted
the use of 12mm hexes
cvds
nice diffs
uses robinson racing metric pinion gears ( only use if using a 3.2mm motor shaft(brushless motors) )
no bent hingepins after plenty of bashing
hingpins held by like cups and retainers instead of e clips
enclosed gear boxes dont let anything in
!!!
currently on order or from dtx are...
1 quark 33 esc
2 chassis
3 2 aluminum ball diffs
4 2 sets of steel cvds
5 aluminum shocks
this is gunna be one sweet truggy
hope i helped

I had a prophet plus and it charged my mini batterys fine. I know use a Vision 2 peak charger by dynamite and it works great.

I will use the hyperion 500 and quark esc. Just wondering, why do you recomend the quark esc?

the quark is sort of the same thing as the mamba with the castle link
also it can handle a 33a constant so if you use a crazy motor lol
its 20 bucks less than mamba wit castle
i dont know about that motor
i think the ammo or the permax are your best bet
i pmed you

I wouldn't reccomend that motor. Its prone to overheating and I know of a few people who have had the end caps fall out on them. I used to own the 5000kv long can in my mini quake. I got rid of it after less than two months. The ammo or permax are much better motors. If you go feigao, you want the 380-8408S from starluck. My choice right now would be the Ammo 28-35-5100. They are on sale for $32.00 at Tower. You can't beat that deal.

It can handle more current, and is a smoother controller.

These are the basic technical differences between the 2.
Prices are $76.95 Mamba $88.90 with link Mamba, $79.95 Quark at BPP.
Add $21.95 for the castle link for the Mamba.
I have ran both extensively and I do think the Quark is smoother, more responsive, more programmable.
The mamba is nice because of the USB ability, the link is expensive though.
Technically the Quark is much higher specs, it has a heatsink, and is cheaper than the Mamba with USB.
