No one is answering the phone at BME. What gives? Keith, if you read this post, please let us know whats going on. I am a customer of yours and it is very frustrating when I can't get service. [
] Anyone have the inside story on why no one is home at BME?

Keith has always replied by e-mail no later than following day.
However in rare occasions I have gotten his real time voice over the phone.

must be out partying with the guys from Copperhead aviation! They seem to never answer the phone or answer emails either... Guess I'll get the RCEXL ignition I need from CH instead.

Business owners actually go on vacation from time to time, but I do not know if this is the case or not.
I know he is still in business because I sent him a carb I wanted modified, got it back last week.
When did you e-mail him??

I just tried finding RC Ignition on the web & get a strange site that results in a spyware ad... Anyone have a URL or other contact info for these guys?

I own a business. So I know how important taking a vacation is. However, I always get the information out to my customers that we will be closed. They may not be happy about it but at least they are not left hanging. I'm just voicing my frustration. Maybe one of you can help me with my BME 115 problem.

I just recieved two BME engines with ignitions from Kieth. BME is still in business. He did a great job with my engines. By the way, I have another BME 50 that I have to choke each time I start it. I start it initially, then after I land and turn the engine off, i should be able to start it right away without choking again. However, I cannot star it unless I choke it. Anyone have any ideas?

Three reasons I can think of.
1 Too lean on the idle screw.
2 Engine is hot and cooking out the fuel after landing. Too lean on the high or timing is too advanced. Not cooling the engine before shut down.
3 Fuel is running back to the tank after shut down. After shut down check for air bubbles in the line at the carb and if present rebuild the carb.

One more.
The fuel in the line is heating up after engine shut down creating a vapor lock. Using the choke breaks the lock. This happens to a lot of engines that don't have much hot air exit area, or that don't get any wind flowing through the cowl after the engine is shut down. A simple issue that is easily cured by using the choke. If the choke is too much bother re-route the fuel line or fly without a cowl.
Something similar happens to an auto engine after shutting it down. They get hotter than they were when they were running. That's why most cars today have a cooling fan that turns on after the ignition is turned off.
