WOW[X(] I compared the microheli alum bladegrips with 4 xtreme blades to 4 stock blades and there is only a 10g diff. the xtreme motors are actully 2g lighter than stock.... I have a spare carbon fiber tube that fits as a tailboom and homemade fins weigh 7g compared to the police body rear only weighs 14g.
sorry going nowhere with this..... just nothing to do

Wolfpackin made a table with an overview of weights and comparison, see: [link=http://193.172.72.35/cx2/CX2-Parts-Weights.pdf]CX2-Parts-Weights[/link]. I'll try to add your weights ASAP to get the table complete!
Thanks for the effort Tom!

Soloboss was looking for the Xtreme weights so I posted them.
I download the CX2-Parts-Weights PDF. Good job on it. It's nice to have.

It's nice to have all the weights of the parts to compare and to know how heavy your helicopter will be with them.
Also the old microheli alum blade grips were about 10 grams each and the new version ones are 3.2 grams each, now that's light!

Guys,
As Wolfe just 'honoured'

Shufflez,
Is there a way to get that table attached to the Heli Setup Guide? It's an excellent table and it needs a home to keep everything in one place.
If that's not a good idea, I'm cool with it however you keep it.

Another update with the stock motor weight provided by Tom:
[link=http://193.172.72.35/cx2/CX2-Parts-Weights.pdf]CX2 parts weights[/link].
Soloboss; I'm putting this info in the database (as you know, the technical part of the CX2 site is ready, but i'm now working on the HDX-part... Kinda short attention span, too many stuff that i like!
Will be picking up the slack in the CX2-dept soon though). And thus it'll soon be 'integrated' with your guide and among other (hopefully
) usefull info! So it IS a good idea, it'll only take me a while to encorporate all of your ideas!

concerning BLADE CX. I was checking out the MH site and it seems the xtreme stuff is way lighter than MH stuff. according to Tom Z(above) and MH site. For example, upper blade grip from xtreme, 4.3g(Tom Z) and MH at 10.2g. And KRs hooby has a good deal on the xtreme stuff..with blades.
i got some xtreme grips with a few sets of extra blades coming and i hope it improves outside flight a bit. i got 'er dialed in finally...going to try the CX hover challenge with new blades. see you guys around.

Tom,
You told me that the heli-max plastic grips would work fine on my BCX. Then you said that you liked the Xtreme blade grips better. Im just trying to improve outdoor flight(that's all I do-no indoor, too small). What is the wieght differance between the plastic grips and the aluminum grips? I am worried about rotating mass. I am still using stock batterys and I am going to lighten up my Xtreme boom and skid kit. Did you find that the aluminum grips had less wobble? Did you try the xtreme core from the other website?Sorry for so many questions but I only want to buy one set of blade grips. Can you recomend which blade to use with my stock set up?
I am thinking about A 15 C battery. Some people are complaining about puffing. Your choice or batterys?
Thanks for any advice.

dsn...for what its worth....i run 2 stock bats, to commonsenserc850 bats and 2 dn 900mah bats. i thought i ruined the stock bats so, in a hurry, i bought the commonsense bats from LHS. then ordered 2 extreme motors and the dn bats...the dn bats are the best for me. longer flight times and better response. BTW, the stock bats were fine...i just sucked at flying and wore them down throttling so much. so now i got 6 bats, all functioning. on a random saturday i can get tons of flight time...mixed with chores. i'd be curious about other bats on the market...but i wont be buying any soon...6 bats..remember?
about grips...in my previous post about 5 min ago...the extreme grips seem to be the best as far as numbers are concerned...price and weight...but i am curious if they will improve flight....the MH stuff in comparison is heavier and more expensive. however, i do have MH upper and lower hubs and they are working just fine..I mean NOT BROKEN YET.LOL.
my house is small and i can hover around all i want...BORING. once you figure out how to hover and have mastered that...all i want to do is fly for real...outside...im hoping the new blades and grips help outside. I think I'm quoting someone else in the forums but...I have, at least, i $400 blade cx. I haven't totaled the receipt 'cause I dont wanna know.

dcn10, The heli-max plastic grips should work fine. I like the xtreme blade grips much better
because you can use the xtreme blades on them and they are metal instead of plastic.
They are very strong and work better than the heli-max plastic grips for me.
Some of the blades I put in the heli-max plastic grips I can't get tight enough
and some I can. Different blades have different thickness where they mount into the blade grips.
I have not tried the extreme core. Just the extended upper and lower shaft, short flybar, landing skids.
I still would go with the extreme core or lama grips over the heli-max plastic grips for sure!
The heli-max grips are OK with some blades but there are better grips to use out there.
The heli-max plastic grips weigh 2.9 Grams. The xtreme blade grips weigh 4.2/4.3 grams.
If you’re looking out for weight, go with the plastic grips.
I didn't notice a difference between plastic or aluminum grips wobble. Both were nice and smooth for me.
No wobble.
I have the new puff free mega power 15C 850 mAh batteries and they are great. No puffing problems so far.
I recommend them.
The only blades you can use with your stock heli are the eflight blades.
If you get the folding blades I would use the xtreme blades or the Chinese A/B blades. Both work great.
Also the vortex blades work well. There just like the extreme blades on bladecx2.com. I have them also.
Side by side they look, weight, and fly the same.

use MicroHeli parts with the stock plastic parts, not any aluminum parts (that I now of).
Good luck in the CX hover challenge!
