Baja 5B Project... Getting there slowly
Still have tons of parts to install...
30.5cc ported reed motor (have it but waiting for pipe to install it)
Sidemount pipe by Gabe Brown
TGN superspeed 19/55 alloy gearset
TGN chrome wing - backordered
AMS front and rear hydraulic brakes
Darksoul billet bead lock rings
Darksoul rear axle extenders
AMS whole chassis protector
Billet roof scoop
So yeah, some are installed but some arent.
And of course, Full carbon fiber replacement
Painted the body today, came out decently but I may get another clear one to play with. Disregard the screwed up camber/toe-in, havnt adjusted it yet.

Well, just the way im setting it up with the gearing and ride height and all. Though its a few easy mods to make it totally off road ready.
My other baja is for off road use mainly so its no big deal

It is looking pretty good. I don't think you will find it all that satisfying for the road. I have road slicks myself but mostly use the dirt busters or sand paddles here in Southern CA. That top plate looks cool and the outerwear filter should be good not that I use one. Anyway it is a good basher but it is slower on the streets then a good nitro or brushless electric. I am going to buy a fast Nitro or Electric myself for street and just use my Baja SS for bashing.

That would leave my Baja SS in the dust with the Reed 30.5cc and GBE side mounted pipe and TGN gearset. Not to mention stop way faster then mine with Hydraulic front and wear brakes. It would cost me at least $1000 to upgrade to those parts alone for my Baja. Not many Nitros or Electrics can go much faster then that on the street or dirt. It would an awesome basher though much faster then a Traxxas Revo or Emax and more durable then a Rustler VXL. Good taste with the motor/pipe those GBE pipes are expensive but the best money can buy and you will need those Hydraulic brakes for that speed/weight. You will tear up the tarmac 50mph+ easy with that setup. Mine only does about 35-40mph which is not fast enough to be fun on the street but makes a good basher. You will likely have one of the fastest HPI Baja's on the HPI Baja Forum congrats.

I run about 50/50 on street and dirt. I just change out the tires and put on street slicks and it handles ok. No flipping over or drifting. Still It can never handle as well as a car designed for street. Have your seen those MCD Rally cars or the FG Sportsline F1? Those cars are awesome. Would prefer one of those for the street and use my Baja for bashing in the dirt.
