Looks like the lastest Hi Moto offering! It is not a Smartech as fuel tank is in the back like MCD/FS-Racing 1/5 cars.

Yeah, its a Himoto if its redcat branded.

Redcat has a cult following status here on RCU, and its nearly impossible to say anything without the 500000 redcat employees/forum suport/owners/CEOs coming in and spreading "information".

It looks like a decent vehicle as long as people know what theyre getting into

So what are they getting into? In your opinion are they a YA or NA company, to cheap or to high?

Redcat just rebrand junky stuff like HSP, wouldn't expect much quality from it.

personally...i like it & it looks sexy ...summit about buggy's that make me drool, only thing that puts me off (with nitro buggys) is the ground clearance, other than they are teh best (i luv the kyosho inferno series!) ..if there was a 1/8 offroad track near where i live, i would never have got a petrol but an inferno buggy

wonder if those wheels would fit on FG monsters? look much nicer than the ST wheels/tires & the FG ST would look sweet with those wheels/tires combo ..infact if they could i would buy an ST shell & those wheels/tires as a change from my monster rims/tires

Yeah redcat imports HSP/Himoto and slaps their stickers on them, but thats not to say that theyre bad. I don't think the more expensive redcats are worth it considering what else is on the market, but the cheaper ones are good for their price.

Sheograth....have you ever Raced against a Monsoon(1/8 truggy) or a Hurricane(1/8 buggy)? Have you ever DRIVEN one?
We Redcat folks just get TIRED of the Hate from folks who have NO experience with the Brand.
Have any of you ever WONDERED where this so called CULT LIKE FOLLOWING stems from?
Why there are so many folks, (Veterans and Newbs alike) who actully support Redcat?
Why we Redcat people outnumber all you other MFG fans? We're EVERYWHERE, aren't we?
Well.....Now you have something NEW to think about, huh?

By the way. The guy who Posted these Pics is a Regular in the Redcat Forum...

Yeah, I have 4 redcat vehicles, and like them all.

You people really need to chill out. I've never seen fans of any company get so defensive about it before Redcat. I havn't even bashed their products, but look at your post. I stated an absolutely reasonable opinion, and you act like a 5 year old. Way to go. And no, I don't have anything new to think about. I still feel that Redcat vehicles are perfectly fine, but I personally prefer others at higher price points. Its a normal, legitimate, adult statement to make. Which is far more than can be said for your post.

Redcat sucks.

So does the NY Yankees, NASCAR fans, KKK members, and while we are at it, tofu sucks as does frozen veggies on the plate at a 4 star restaurant.

Opinions are like A-holes................. everyone has one just some stink more than others when allowed to bark.

Sheograth....You're the one that needs to Chill Bro.
I asked 8 questions in a civilized manner.
You answered ONE of them and ignored the rest of my Post.
You then proceeded to call ME childish.
How, Precisely, is that response indicative of Adult behavior, on your part?

I never bashed you, or anyone else for that matter. I fully support owning other Brands, and never said otherwise.
I directed my post at you because you seem to have a problem with us spreading "information" in the forums, lol!
As if our "information" is not as valid as "Yours".

so, how's the transmission handle other motors?
an East-West engine sitting on a North-South drivetrain....doesn't that lead to the motor sitting way up high??
still, it looks tough, man![sm=thumbup.gif]

1/5 Scale Upcoming Model Images

There is no firm date on arrival and these are preliminary images of the 2 models (TRUCK/ BUGGY) Redcat will carry. Both are 4WD with a 23cc Gas engine.

So they're not even avail yet either.

23 cc seems like a waste in a ( $ = ? ) 4WD. 26cc would be way better, but maybe they need the low end grunt of the 23 cc instead.
