Directions and motel information
Directions to Field:
Take the East Town Mall (Washington Pike) exit 8 off Interstate 640 (map
below). Stay on Washington Pike for ~8 miles, past the intersection with Roberts
Road (House Mountain convenience mart on the right). You’re now less than a
mile from the turn-in to the field, which will be on your left just past a horse
stable/farm on the right.
GPS: N36 07.591, W83 47.641
Motels @ Exit 398 on I-40 east of Knoxville:
Motel 6 (865) 633-6646 ($59/nite) Econo Lodge Inn (865) 932-1217 ($125/nite)
LaQuinta (865) 633-5100 ($109/n) Best Western 865/544-7737 ($100/nite)
Hol.DayInn Exp 865-5255100-$$$ Quality Inn East (865) 342-0003 ($90/nite)
These are all relatively new Motels – Motel 6 is a multi-story building, looks very
new and clean, inside room entrance. This exit is closest to the field – maps
from this exit will be available. Motel 6 is the recommended lodging…

Hey all looks like there are pilots in all the classes showing up so far.. Come see the new Pattern friendly site and take in the view..There will be two flight lines..
Please help out the scoring people and do a pre-reg if your planning on coming and flying..
HMMMM... maybe A.C. Glenn, Mike Hester , Brian Kennedy & crew, and more.. How about it ????????

Unfortunatley I am traveling out of the country on business that weekend. Work has had me flying more Delta than pattern planes lately. I am sorry I will miss it. I recall the last time we piled 4 pilots into my rig pulling Skylab and had a great time. Look forward to hearing how it goes. I hope you will be able to make it over to Huntsville September 13-14th?
