Has anyone noticed these tanks yet.

They appear to have the proper mantlet, and the correct sized bbl. I also notice the pistol port is correct, and they mention trule scale speed and the sound of a real tiger being used.
Does anyone have one of these to confirm that they are actually different inside then the Heng Long Tiger ????

Realistic Look- Tiger I was made with care and precision. Matorro wanted the Tiger I to look as real as possible. A lot of time and thought was put into the creation of this product.

Yes I noticed that as well, but a least the bbl is the correct length. What about the sound and mechanics inside. Is this a different tank or just a repackaged Heng Long with the same gears and electronics(which wouldn't be a bad thing just not as different as I might be hoping)?

If you look at the transmitter it has Matorro markings on it as well. I don't think this is a case of rebuilding Heng Long tanks, I think this is a new release under the Matorro brand name. I just want to find out how different it is. I guess I'll buy one and see how different it is. I was just wondering if someone already has done that.

They are newly designed tanks, not rebuilds. Murphy is on a quest to introduce better built, highly detailed tanks. Of course he wants to introduce more models to market faster then the other guys too.

Does this mean they are as good as Heng long electronics???? IF you have one could you rip off the top and show us some pictures inside. I am interested in the gearbox as well.

Well i am no expert but the sound is much better than my s+s heng long tiger I the machine gun and cannon are much clearer and the engine sound seems to be proportional ie give it gas engine sound gets noticibly louder.

Matorro's King Tiger has great mg and main gun sounds, but the rest of the sound effects are muddled and confused, and it returns to super-quiet idle when stationary (which can be good if you're having a conversation near one). I too would love to see the differences, if any, between the earlier (pink/purple toned) and the later (ambush/spotted) ones...

That looks like a re-worked HL Tiger. Even the molded tools are the same. And like how the escape hatch is higher than where it should be....the same as HL's.
I always thought Matorro is part of Heng Long, or at least they have close ties to each other. Heck, even their logos looks like it's been designed by the same guy.

Definitely in the future.
But I'm still not done repainting my Tamiya Tiger I, Pershing, WSN T-34/85, and I'm gonna build the Leopard 2A6 in a few days.

Oh I have no doubt that this Matorro offering is from the same factory that the Heng Longs are built. But I do believe that the Matorro offering does have some differences. The whole point of this thread was to find out if anybody knows for sure how similiar they are. With no real answers yet, I guess I will have to buy one to find out.
