I was just looking at the new savage flux because i was thinking of getting it , while looking around i came across the baja , Its still just a 5B but at least they gave the old girl some nice upgrades .I like new look at least they went with a diffrent color besides the orange .

I think they did this to differentiate the base 5B from the clones...

ya, I think they were lookin to give people a reason to buy theres instead of the clones, and this sis what they came up with...I want one, the new bodies look sick,I'll probably be getting either that or a 5B SS soon.

The clones are just that cheap copies , I would rather have the real thing.

Ya, thats you, you want to get the 5B so you can say, "I have a real 5B", but some people just want a vehicle that performs like the 5B, so they get clones. Thats why hpi did the 2.0, so that theirs would be better than the clones.

I allready have a 5B , and i doubt hpi is worried about the clones like they need to be . I purchased mine when they first came out long before the clones were even around . The real deal will allways be better then the crappy knock offs. like the old saying goes you can polish and turd but in the end its still a turd. Better yet just drop the clone crap that horse has been beat way to many times .

Is there still the HPI rebate going on? HPI extended the rebat beyond x-mass, and if it is still going on, this is the only way I can think of how he got $200 less

I'm definitely getting one of these puppies...I had a King Motors and didn't like it except for the size, sounds and driving style of 1/5th scale...but the quality was pretty poor...so now I'm definitely getting THE REAL THING!!
I really miss the ease of 1/5scale..lol...

I would recommend the SS kit over the RTR. But no matter what you get the first upgrade needs to be a kill switch. I will not even fire mine up with out one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It protects against MUCH more then just that. On one of the forums a guy ran his 5b of a cliff into the ocean that had a fail safe but not a kill switch. He runs a kill switch now. A kill switch will give better protection then a fail safe alone. Might just save you hundreds of dollars and keep you out of a law suite.
