If you look very carefully at the photo, you will notice there is a banjo fitting with a nipple on the front of the muffler for smoke. There are (2) fittings, one on each the left and right sides of the muffler. The fitting can be rotated to wherever you need it to connect the smoke line.

I videoed Todd flying one of his prototype engines at our field in Farmington CT.

Jim,
Yup, it's all of those little details like the banjo fitting, etc, etc that really impressed me with both Todd and his engine when we met at Joe Nall. That's why I took the photos. In my gut, I knew this would be a very special engine. It was really the one thing that got me excited at this year's Nall. Todd has gone to a lot of effort to pay attention to many details that many others simply have overlooked.

There are a ton of planes meant for a 1.60. This motor should fit anything that requires the1.60.Can't wait to get my hands on one! I am currently running 2 OS160FXs and 1 OS140 RX airplanes and will have apples to apples comparisons as soon as I get one. I fly pattern which requires a light ,powerful and reliable powerplant. Todd's motor looks to fit the bill!
Wishing you all.. all the best,

Kmac425,
My friend and I put together a H-9 Mustang and powered it with a Moki 2.10. The plane is a rocket with the Moki and I would even say overpowered. Requires some smart throttle management. It weighs 17# dry. Todd's motor weighs in at 38oz with ignition and muffler. The Moki weighs in at 46oz without muffler. Mustang has a 24oz tank.Add the weight of a muffler and a mount for the Moki and things begin to addup quickly. Todd's motor uses 1/2 oz a minute. I think it should be possible to save an easy 2# using Todd's motor. That is a 10% savings. The big Stang flys well at 17# plus fuel but would be even more of a delight at 15#.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Check out the Hangar 9 1.50 Mustang 2.10 Moki Build by Dobro for some great pics. Cool machine!!!

RC11,
That's the kind of "reconfiguration" I was applying to my Sun Dancer. I really think it would change the entire way the plane handles and flies. After all the give and take the plane ends up substantially lighter and so it doesn't require as much engine as it did at its former weight. Add to that the fact that although this is LESS engine, it's got MORE power than a 30CC normally would, so it changes things from that end. The difference would appear to be small enough that it should be fine.

Hi Ed,
I too have one or possibly two of these beauties coming my way.
I,ve been waiting for them to be released since last August.
What kind of exhaust are you planning on using? I,m seriously thinking about an ES Composites carbon pipe setup.
It should get this puppy breathing really well, possibly even getting the thrust #,s up into the low 20lb range.
The new EF 78
Hi Dave, good to here from you all is well I hope with the family. They have to be the most beautiful looking engine I've seen in a long time. It will replace my (new unused)Evolution 26GX and B.H Hanson G26. I will be using the ES Composites pipe too. This engine will be a perfect match for the EF Yak 74" wing. I will really be happy when Todd finishes the development of his 60cc twin then I will finally have a good priced, powerful twin for my Comp-Arf Extra 330L 2.3.

Can you give some numbers with stunt props like 16x12 / 16x14? Have you run engine with pipe?

I certainly can once I get the engine and get it mounted into a plane which will probably be in a couple of months. Todd said about three weeks to shipping and then a week to get to me in Canada.

TSyssa,
Any chance you could post some three views with dimension either here or on your website?
I have two aircraft these engines may work in, a Sig Rascal 110 and the original H-9 mustang (Silver Marie version not the current larger version already mentioned above).
I would like to get an idea of fit within the cowls.
Nice looking engines, I could see offering different colors even!
Cheers

It will be on the website soon...but I will email you one...
send me an email...not a PM...and will get one back to you with an attached file GIF of the layout.
Both of those planes will be hot puppies with this engine. That Mustang will be quite quick!

Great! Thanks for the info. I'm excited about the combo. Although I'm afraid it will be my winter project being that to much let's say 'life' is going on right now to mess with it!

Wow, sure seems to be a lot of excitement about spending a lot of money to hover like a foamie.
