There will be a Limited Edition of MIBO Quarter Scale A-10s available on a pre-order first come basis. To clarify, this edition is in addition to the current 1/5.8 Scale G4 kit. Production of the Quarter Scale A-10 will start mid-2010 at a rate of one per month until a Limited Edition of 25 is produced. The specifications, prices, etc. will be detailed and published in the very near future. I have three requests from North American customers at this time. If anyone has an interest, please PM and I will add you to the wish list. We will not be taking firm orders until there are more detailed specifications with prices.
Again, the current 1/5.8 ScaleG4 kit will continue for an indefinite time…years.

Exactly. Just shoot that mail to Roger.
You know this is going to be the ultimate demo model! I have my planned already
2x P200SX's and as hard as I try I cant find a colour scheme I like more than my old arctic scheme. I cant wait to see how scale Mibo are going on this monster.. Would be great if it had the split ailerons, and working slats.
Who do we speak to about getting some of those working turbofans made ( As per your little biddy hog Joe )

Ali the fans are being made from aluminum. Bob Levine is having them done, they will be shipped to Wayne to add the bearings, then shipped to be metal morphed, would you like a set made for you, let me know.

Hi Ali,
The 1/4 scale will have considerably more surface detail than the 1:5.8. Given the size it easily lends itself to that. Slats will be functional, although on many real A-10's they are locked down. They were used as air diverters for the turbo fans. The flaps will be proper fowlers. The airbrakes are still being played with to check mechanical lock down. There is a continuing concern about flutter if they are functional.

There are no pictures at this time. We will be posting some pictures of the particulars as the fabrication progresses. The size of this Big Hawg will make the rivets, screws, panels, ports, vents, exhausts, etc. etc. far more visible in pictures as well as the naked eye.
Oh yea, I have request for four so have reserved five of the twenty five.

Hi Roger;
"Can you please overnight one front strut pin! I flew 4 times today!
It was 13 degrees, then warmed up to about 32 so it got wet on the runway by
the snow melting! The A-10 took of with wet wings and I flew her up to 1500
feet right after take of! She iced up and one left flap froze and the plane
started snapping! At 3/4 throttle she stayed until I got her in on the run
way, but the front pin snapped!!!
What a flyer!! She was approx. 35 lb more with all the ice I think on the
wings and the fuse!!! Just like the real deal!
What a plane! After 156 flights she is still flying thanks to a good air
frame, build by Jerry Farmer and pure thrust!!"

I have frequently said that the MIBO A-10 does not care what its weight is...this is certainly a testimonial to the accuracy of that opinion. What a quality and user friendly product to withstand these kinds of stresses!!!

Morning Jack, yea a couple of years ago we thought the current MIBO Hawg was Hugh. The 1/4 Scale is really gonna have some serious presence.
I have been asked frequently about the turbine requirements for this beast.
The current MIBO G4, fully decked out including the belly fuel tank, flies very well with a pair of P70s as evidenced by this video:
MIBO G4Weight 45lb
So this biggie will fly very scale like with a pair of 35 pound blowers and one should bring it home. A pair of 45+ pounders will certainly increase it’s agility. It just depends on your flying style.
We have 4 orders so will probablygo ahead and reserve a 5th out of the 25 total limited edition.
