RC Airplane YF-23 Electric Ducted Fan Jet Ready to Fly
The YF-23 was designed to meet USAF requirements for survivability, super cruise, stealth, and ease of maintenance. Supercruise requirements called for prolonged supersonic flight without the use of afterburners.
The YF-23 was an unconventional-looking aircraft, with diamond-shaped wings, a profile with substantial area-ruling to reduce aerodynamic drag at transonic speeds, and an all-moving V-tail. It was powered by two turbofan engines. Unfortunately, the YF-23 lost out to the Lockheed F-22 Raptor in the competition.
This scale model is a highly modified twin 70mm EDF YF-23 Black Widow II RC airplane.
The aircraft was built from the airframe kit and utilizes twin Freewing 2150kv 12 blade Electric Ducted Fans (EDFs) and twin Hobbywing Skywalker 60A ESCs.This provides fantastic power and sound in the air.
Additionally it has a separate 10A Battery Eliminator Circuit (BEC) to power the receiver, servos, and electric landing gear.
This model has electric shock-absorbing retractable landing gears with electric brakes. It can be flown off short grass or pavement.
It uses Hitec HS-85MG metal gear servos.
The included receiver is a 10-channel 2.4 GHz DSMX/DSM2 receiver. Also included is a Hobby Eagle A3 Super II programmable gyro to provide stability in the air.
There's almost $600.00 of equipment making up this beautiful airplane.
I can give you the .SPM configuration file for Spektrum transmitters. You'll be totally ready to fly that way.
