Hi David buy some Glass tables from office max or some other company , been using them for many years flat as a arrow and will stand the test of time , use a grade of soft board on the top for the pins ect , Works great
Good luck Tony

I use an interior hollow core door.. Either buy one at Home Depot etc, or if you know contractor that does remodeling he'll probably give you one.. Been using such for years. The outside service doors work well also.

Just an FYI, I did a lot of research B-4 purchasing a table. I got table from Lowe's . It is a Kobalt brand, 72'X32"X36' High. Extremely well built with Steel legs and braces, and 3/4' Maple top, with protective coating. Maybe a little pricey, but in my opinion; well worth the $199
Good Luck !

If you live near an Ikea store, you can get tables of various sizes & prices. I bough their cheepo 1.5 mtr long table & fitted extra centre legs, then add a sheet of what we call plasterboard which takes pins great. I am building a Top Flite Stinson Reliant on it & am just up to building the port wing. There is a thread on here see
