AMR Air Tractor 402-B with Wren Turbo Prop
This is an AMR Air Tractor kit, powered by a Wren Turboprop engine. The Wren Turboprop is a propane start engine. AMR provided the few extra firewall parts required to adapt the engine to their air-frame. The engine utilizes a 22 X 8 three bladed propeller. The engine/propeller combination provide significant power. The airplane flys at approximately 1/2 throttle and flight times of 15 minutes are achievable. It is a great flying airplane. The completed airplane/engine are approximately 6 years old with 15-20 flights total. The engine went back to Wren one time several years ago for a gear reduction unit upgrade. The airplane features all JR digital servos, twin redundant Duraflight 2900mah, 7.4 V Li-ion battery packs (8/2017) in conjunction with a PowerBox Professional power supply. Engine power battery is a Thunder Power 2200mah Li-po pack. Wing bags included. Transmitter not included.
I kept a blog on this site if you would like to review the build. When I paste a link here, I get an error. To find the blog, go to "forums/RC Airplanes/Kit building" Once in the kit building forum search for "air-tractor-402". That should get you to the blog. There are also several videos on You Tube by searching "bob beran amr 402b"
