BVM Bobcat XL
Looking to sell my BVM bobcat XL. I have just aquired a new jet and unfortunately, that means one must go. Kind of unfortunate as I just went through everything from top to bottom on this jet and redid the electronics install and turbine install, but oh well
The jet was built in 2013 and was modified to have flaps so it flies very much like the composite bobcat. The jet is in pretty good overall condition, but it does have cosmetic blemishes that have happened over time. There are some chips in the paint in a few spots and two cracks that go along the mid section of the fuselage. The top layer of the fuse in that area was a thin piece of fiberglass with thin balsa underneath so I guess the tanks pushed up on it and created the cracks. I did carbon fiber strengthening all along that area and it is now way, way stronger than it was before. It could be repainted, but it really didn't both me so I just flew it as is.
I flew the jet with a jetcat 120sx and thought it was way overpowered. If I had to do it over again, I would probably go with a 70 or 80 turbine as it was just way too fast with the 120.
Im looking to sell the jet with only the servos, tanks and the gear, but I could probably make a deal with other electronics if wanted. I just bought all new stuff and figured I probably won't get anywhere near what I paid so I'd prefer to keep it all as backup.
It has
JR 8711s on ailerons
JR8611s on flaps
JR 3421s on rudders
MKS 747HV on elevators
JR 4721 on steering
The jet has bvm purple retracts with bvm struts. It has the stock bvm tanks and 2 sullivan 12oz tanks that were used for fuel and smoke.
Asking $1900. I can ship if buyer is willing to cover costs
If you have any interest or questions or want more pics, send me a pm. I'll try to answer as best I can.
