For sale is an A-4L Skyhawk based on the 1:5.5 scale Skymaster kit (86" length, 61" wingspan). This jet was built for scale competition at Top Gun 2019, where it placed 6th in Expert Class. Purchased from the original builder without engine, servos or electronics, it's been expertly refitted with all new components, including:
· Powerbox Mercury SRS
· Powerbox PBR-26D receivers x2
· Spektrum A6320 Brushless HV servos (.10 sec / 270 oz/in)
· Xicoy electronic air valves for gear, doors, brakes, speed boards and nose strut extension
· Unilight 8 Channel lighting controller w/new Spektrum LiFe battery
· All new Dreamworks HD air lines and fittings
· Pulse 2550mAh RX batteries x2
· XS Power 2100mAh LiFE ECU battery w/built in cell balancer
· BVM Air Fill Valve and Air Gauge
· BVM Hi Flow UAT w/Xicoy UAT mount
· Fuel tanks overhauled and pressure tested
· Fuel supply system fitted with all new hi-flow (8mm) tubing
· Dreamworks hi-flow vent plug and fittings included for your overflow tank
Features include a functional canopy, all new custom cockpit with scale pilot, functional speed boards and a transmitter-controlled nose gear strut extender. The installed lighting system is true-to-scale, including position, anti-collision, wingtip strobe, landing and storm lights. Nose gear steering is servo controlled, eliminating the troublesome hydraulic steering provided with the original kit. Field assembly is simplified with built-in fixed electrical connectors and BVM EZ-Air connections. The jet is expertly painted and weathered with dry transfer nomenclature and painted insignia. The 2019 Top Gun static score was an impressive 94.417!
This jet is being offered for sale Ready-to-Fly with a JetCat P180-RX (S/N 180531, 5:40 TT), but can be sold in any configuration you'd like - no engine, no receivers, no batteries, etc.
Shipping will be at buyer's expense, roughly $300 in a custom wooden crate via Greyhound (in CONUS). Would rather drive a reasonable distance from Pensacola to meet.
