I am curious how he was able to get my email address, the message wasn't sent through the classifieds

They will go to your profile and use the Email link instead of sending a message through the ad.

I thought I had that turned off

Definitely still active

So where do I deactivate it, or is this another crazy glitch?

Uncheck the Receive Friendship Request Email option. The name is confusing but the description below it states this allows or disallows other members to email you through the site.

Again, the scammers did not harvest your email address from our servers.

I believe he did,, I'm guessing he uses his own server/email server to intercept the proxy request RCU sends out

haha,, yes,, very confusing,, especial when it says this right above that Why wouldn't I think I was safe if I had that checked??
