Default Editing an Post

I have an add (post) with an item for sale. Why is it that I cannot edit a post I created a week ago, as an example. Some have edit botton, some do not.

Someone else may be able to fill in the reason why part, but I do know there is a short time limit after creating a post, before the Edit button disappears. Sucks, but that's the way it is and probably won't change, despite regular complaints.

It’s a dumb admin rule that they will not change for some ridiculous reason. I remember talking to Ken about it, but I believe the decision to not allow post edits comes from above as I recall. Complaining about it falls on deaf ears. The folks that can do anything about it never will. You can PM a moderator, but I think that’s pretty silly to have to do. I’d just make new posts or threads.

Editing times out after a while and as Ken said, it comes from above

And as also stated, you can PM a moderator

The folks from above making silly decisions should listen to the people under them - primarily the little guys that (barely) keep the forum afloat. Silly decisions (not just this one) come at a cost.

I wish they would add a thumbs down option. They went the way of some social media outlets giving only a thumbs up option. Surely intended to create bias.
