They are linked to an external URL. ie- www.mywebsite.com/picture.jpg
Note: The URL has to be linked directly to the picture, not just the page. Also, take care the pictures aren't too large, taking modem users a long time to download. If the pictures get too large, you may get a request by a moderator to save the pictures to your harddrive and reduce the size.

I am new to this posting pictures to RCU. I would like to post a picture and am not sure how to get one online by my post. Can anyone give some start up pointers? Thanks Mike

RE: Posting Pic's
The file restrictions have all but been removed.
You can attach (upload) up to four pictures within a message with a total size up to 3000K (3 megs.) The RCU software will resize the pictures for you.
While composing your message, click on "Upload Images" just below where you type your text. A window will open with four input fields and four "Browse" buttons. Click a "Browse" button and navigate to, and select your picture. Repeat for the other fields as required. Click on "Ok". Be patient and wait for the window that says "File Uploaded Successfully." Then click "OK" in that window. Finish composing your message and then click "OK" at the bottom. That's it. Your message will now include the pictures you attached, resized automatically.
The picture below was originally 1024x769. As you can see, it has been resized to 800x601.
Hope this helps,
