What's the deal on posting replys now? It seems that if you cannot post/type your reply in 30 seconds, you get cut off the thread. Some of old timers out here can't type that fast for various reasons. Some of them include just being slow. Is there a reason for this new policy? Personally, I think it should go back to the way it was.

Not sure what you mean here...the 30 second rule is so you cannot post more than once every 30 seconds. In other words after I post this I cannot post again for at least 30 seconds...this is a "floodcheck" to avoid spamming and reposts by mistake. You can take as long as you like to reply to any post/thread here...if you want to type a reply and take 5 days to do it that is possible.
