I'm having trouble uploading a pic to use as an Avitar. Keep getting the standard error msg from IE "Site cannot be found/viewed"[sm=confused.gif]. Help!!

oops!! Disregard - my file was waaaaaaay too large[sm=bananahead.gif]! How long does it take for the Avitar to integrate (in previuosly posted messages)? Or is it only active in "new" postings?

I can't seem to find where to go to set up my Avatar. I've been able to set one up on two other RC forums, but not on RCU. Would appreciate detailed instructions on how to, and where to start.

dustbin - avatar will show up instantly in all past and present posts if done correctly. I don't see yours.

In my settings can you tell me why I can't look at the Avitar's?...it is marked (disabled)..Thanks ...JW

we disabled the stock avatar choice. that page was displaying over 4500 avatars of other users. anybody can upload their own avatar but to reduce copying we dont' allow users to choose other user avatars already in the system.

IE 6.xx with all latest patches running on WIN98 SE, security settings - middle.

[sm=sunsmiley.gif] Just tried your suggestion from the other avitar thread about going under 85 pixels (went to 84x62). BINGO!!! Thanx!
