When I open the forum, there is a place which says, "Welcome back, ... there have been ... new posts since your last visit." Then it says to "Click here to view new posts." When I do that, even if there have been 100 new posts, I get a message which says, in effect, "No matches to your search." What gives?

Hi,

Does it ever find new messages for you when you log on for the first time each day or do you always get this same error?

Also if anybody else is getting this let me know so I know if it's user specific or sitewide. I just tested it on my system here and it worked ok.

Thanks.

I don't think it has ever worked for me. But I may not have enabled something in my profile, so you might want to check on that. Beats me. The same thing happens to me at another forum which has the same feature. There it works sometimes, but here not at all yet. John

I just noticed at the bottom of the page a "Subscribe to this thread" icon. Do I need to click on each of those forums I want to go to new posts?

All your settings look correct. You don't need to subscribe as you mentioned for the new messages to be found.

Is your system accepting cookies or do you have a cookie blocker on your pc? Do you log in each time you come to the site at the beginning of the day or does it remember you?

OK, I bit the bullet, disabled the firewall, and tried the new posts function. The function worked. Then I re-enabled the firewall, and it still works! I'm baffled, but if it continues to work, I'm not complaining!!!!!!!!!!! John

I just checked; it's still working! I guess your software has to interface once with my system without the firewall just once and that is enough? Whatever. I'm happy for 24 hours anyway! John

Default new post after XX time??

Hello

Is there anyway to search for all new post after XXX time (Where user selects date/time).

Will be handy if you can't take a look at ALL the new post and want to get back at the same posts sometime later.

Thanks,
Edgar
