Marc,
I'm probably just overlooking something here, but I hope you can help me think of something I haven't...
When I view a thread, some of the posts will have a thumbnail image and a link "Click here to view full size" or some such. When I click the thumbnail or link, I get a new window, and it's blank. Links embedded in posts do the same thing....
I'm running Windows XP Pro, Internet Explorer 6 SP1. I recently installed a new hard drive and these are both clean installs. I have searched my security and privacy settings as thoroughly as I know how, and have hit a brick wall. If you need more info, just let me know.
I appreciate the help...
John

New install...Ok..I suspect there are settings in IE that are messing things up then.
Go to internet options...go to Privacy, Security and Advanced options. Lower the settings on all of them to their lowest and in the advanced window go through the options to enable the obvious ones...if it works go back and slowly raise the security and option levels until you see which one is tripping the wire.
All your database settings are perfectly ok here so it must be a browser setting.

Marc...
Problem solved. I did everything you suggested, and it had a cumulative effect of zero. Nothing would work to fix it, and believe me, I tried it all at least a dozen times.
What finally worked was for me to reinstall XP, which dumped my version of Internet Explorer (v. 6.0 SP2) and reverted me back to plain old v. 6.0. I think Microsoft has a few issues with their service packs, and I guess I'll think twice before updating them again.
I'm glad to hear that my system looks good to RCU. I'd hate to cause any problems here, and heaven only knows what I'd do without my daily fix of thread views!
Thanks again, Marc. Keep up the good work!
