His user name was ***********. Who knows what it is now! Well I got hosed!! I made an offer, he accepted, I paid with a Postal Money order. He cashed it! Its been Over two weeks now, I’ve made four phone calls, four E-mails and twp P M’s on here. No reply. What should I do next; I did file a complaint on him but what good will that do? Has anyone paid with a Postal M/O and never received your merchandise? Isn’t that mail fraud? Should I contact my local post office? But I didn’t get a signature required on delivery! I'm screwed huh? Plus I’m out a hundred bucks. Maybe I'll just stick to E-Bay, I;ve never been scammed with them!!! Jim

I am sorry you are having a problem with another RCU member.
Please remember this forum is not for posting complaints about specific members. As such, your post has been edited to remove that persons username. Also keep in mind that there have been far more scammers on E-Bay than here on RCU. You can verify this for yourself by doing a search in any of the multitude of search engines on the net for "ebay scam". It is up to you to protect yourself which is why we recommend to buyers and sellers alike to use Escrow.com to handle the transaction.
What will your complaint do? If he does not follow through by shipping you the engine, he will be suspended from the site. You might also want to file a complaint with the US Post Office for mail fraud as well as file a complaint with the local police in the city where he lives.

Well, your E-bay facts maybe true, but I have made over fifty Purchases, and have never been stiffed. This was my third or forth one here and now its looking pretty good I'll never see that motor.

We have tens of thousands of completed transactions logged right here and the number of those which have resulted in the buyer not receiving the item they have paid for so far below a solid 1% that it may as well be 0. I review every single complaint posted here and I read several other discussion forums both R/C and non. I see people reporting problems with far greater frequency on sites with a fraction of the traffic we have. Members can be defrauded anywhere at any time. You must take precautions to protect yourself, no matter what site you are visiting, or you are inviting something unfortunate to happen.
