Check your spam filter, either installed on your computer or managed by your ISP, to be sure they are not restricting emails from RCUniverse.com

Also check your account settings from the My Account page to be sure you have selected the options to receive email notifications when responses to your posts are made.

I have the same issue with the forums and PM's. I have not changed anything in my settings and nothing is in my spam folder. Either on my isp provider's site or on my pc.

It seems like this started when the new search utility went in. I am sure it is just a coincidence but that is about when I noticed they stopped. I am still getting e-mails from the classifieds and wish list items.

thebluemax , this is a problem with your ISP, Verizon, not RCU. Verizon has decided to block emails from RCU as spam even though members must opt in to receive emails from us. Ihave the site admin taking a look into the problem. In the mean time, you may want to contact Verizon and let them know their action to list RCU as a spam site was an error on their part.

Hi John,
Thanks for getting back to me. I understand what you are saying but I am not sure I am in total agreement with you on this.
Here is why.

#1. I have my settings with Verizon to allow all e-mails from:

[email protected]
[email protected]
rcuniverse.com

#2. I have my settings on Verizon to save all spam messages in a spam folder. I am checking that folder daily and there is nothing in there from RCU. In the past when a message from RCU would show up I updated my list to allow those messages come through. Ever since then, the messages always came through. The spam folder isa working as everyday there is messages in it which I delete.

#3. As a test I will turn off the spam filter on Verizon and see anything from RCU shows up. I will leave it off for a week.

I also noticed I am no longer getting anything from RCU on items in my wishlist as well as forums and PM.

Again thanks for your time and I will let you know the rersults.

We have received emails from Verizon stating they placed our site in the spam filter. Please review the following which was received directly from Verizon's email servers.

(reason: 571 Email from 69.20.56.26 is currently blocked by Verizon
Online's anti-spam system. The email send...Service Provider may visit
http://www.verizon.net/whitelist and request removal of the block.

Hi John,
Is this something RCU needed to do or something I need to do? I just received an e-mail from RCU saying you posted to this thread... The e-mail came from [email protected] which is in my whitelist. thanks....

RCU has submitted the form requested by Verizon for them to post us on their white list. You may also want to contact them to let them know that their action was a mistake.
