Hi,
I was just told to update my card info as my old one was out of date before I could renew my ad, so I did. It said my card was not charged. But I just got an email that it was charged $1. Did I get scammed from somewhere? Should I shut off my card? Or did RCU really take $1?
Thanks for any help!
Chris

Your card was not charged unless you had an outstanding balance in your account. Double check with your card issuer. You will more than likely find an authorization was posted on your card, but not an actual charge. The authorization is performed on cards so we can verify the card information provided is accurate. In this way we verify the card is good, but do not actually charge you anything in the process.

It is a paypal debit card. It was charged $1 and is pending approval. The charge came from RC CLASSIFIED SVC HIGHLNDS RNCH CO. Does this sound right? I was told no charge. I have never had any balance with RCU whatsoever, and my ad's don't require money. It said no charge after I updated my info. It's only $1, but I just need to make sure it's legit.
Thanks for the reply!!!!!!!!!!

Please understand that all listing fees, are just that listing fees. They are not dependant on an item selling and are due at the time the item is listed. The ProSeller option must be selected at the time the ad is created. It is not selected by default. All fees associated with an ad listing are detailed at the bottom of Step 5 of the ad creation tool for your review prior to submitting the ad.
I have removed the charge item from your account but request you be sure to fully review your ads prior to actually submitting them. If you see a charge you were not expecting, you should be sure to edit your ad to correct it before clicking the submit button.
