I 'll be interested in seeing this thing fly, what a project ! Back in the early 90's, when I was flying HP rockets, there was a guy who built and flew a much smaller scale Saturn 1B. It was still a big rocket, over ten feet, but he flew it successfully as a two stage flight, separating it at the S-IVB and had an ingenious pop-out set of clear fins to stabilize the second stage and preserve the scale appearance in flight. I forget what motors he used, but I think it boosted with something in the L range.

He also built a Saturn V to the same scale, along with a scale launch tower, had the swing-away umbilicals, etc. As far as I remember, he never flew it, but donated it to a museum. Seems like he was a commercial pilot. The detail in both rockets and the tower was incredible.

Successful? Nah, it was picture perfect!

Videos began popping up on YouTube just hours after the launch, but cool as they are, they're nothing like being there!

I witnessed the first two unmanned Saturn 5 launches. You felt the sound vibrations in your chest.
