Default Super Brain 960 battery charger combination??

I have just purchased a Superbrain 960 charger and I plan on using new never charged 8 cell 9.6 volt 1500mAh Nimh battery there are made out of Elite cells. If someone could give me the recommended setting for this combination it would be great. I had planned on charging the batteries to start with at .5 amps and seting the mv to 30 for the first three times of charging the battery packs and then increasing the voltage to 2 amps and increasing the mv to 40. I was told not increase the amps above 2 amps as it may damage the batteries. Thanks in advance for any help

Default RE: Super Brain 960 battery charger combination??

For the first charge I would charge them slower, but the max I would charge them at would 1.5 amps. You can leave the mv setting to 40 for all of the charges. Also, they may very well false peak on the first few charges. A good indication of whether the battery is charged is the heat ion the battery, if it's warm after the charger shuts off, then it's done. If it's not, then it probably false peaked.
