SB 960 giving problems. Please help
I am using Trinity reference seven cell 8.4v 4600mah pack:
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/18687
and MRC Super brain 960 charger:
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/13174
I dont know whats wrong with the Charger, I need help on the following issues:
1) Most of the times it shows battery fully charged like today and yesterday it was showing battery charged as more than 10Volt but in fact it was not and the battery hardly moves the vehicle. (The vehicle is fine, I checked). If its false peak how can I get rid of it because its no more charging the battery and after 5 minutes on even 2 amps charge rate it stops and showing battery charged but the battery is not charged? I discharged the batteries fully in vehicle but still it is showing more than 8 volts. How can I fix this problem?
2) What is the suggested AMP and MV for 7 Cell 4600 mah packs?
3) Is it capable of charging 4600 MAH as its a doubtful issue in forum chats.
Please reply as soon as possible. Thanx

Try using 4.5 amps , it should charge the 4600 a-ok. If it quits next time restart without unplugging or changeing settings to see if it finishes. After that it may never act up again.

Guver got it right on. Is the battery warm when the charger shuts off? If not, then the battery isn't charged. It's very typical for a NiMH battery to false peak when new. It may take a few charges to build the capacity in the battery. Use 4.5 amps and 25mv.
The 960 is just fine for charging those packs, and after the few charges, it should charge in one shot without any false peaks.
